:T:T:T:T Bring it on. By the end of the week you will have so many offers you wont know which one to take.
Just in case I dont get to say this in the morning. Good luck for tomorrow. What time is the interview, I will send positive vibes.

  • Hi Cheri, just been over to yours !

11.30 tomorrow morning. All good vibes and positive thinking much appreciated.

I had requested tomorrow off by phoning on Friday, by saying I had an appointment at hospital, which to some extent is true. However small town syndrome kicks off and this morning 3 colleagues asked if I was 'ok'. I know a couple were genuine in their thoughts but you have to be soo careful round here. Before you know it I'll have been admitted and and goodness knows what will be wrong with me. Had a word with manager to tell him the truth, he's a nice enough guy, but I know where it came from.

That is shocking DC. Whoever you spoke to have broken all the rules as line manager regarding confidentiality . No wonder you want to move work away from home. I am sure that people mean well and it can be quite embarrassing. I feel really excited for you for this week.

  • Thanks Cheri, I am feeling pretty much ready for the world actually.

The think is about my place of work it is stuck in the 70's. It is a charity and the trustees are all old enough to be my parents and then some. They think these 'new rules' don't apply to them. Sadly that's why it is a sinking ship. I'm considered a whipper snapper at 42 ! They need a wake up call. A charity should be run like a business, but they don't get it. It's a shame.

Morning, just wanted to say good luck today. Wondering what song you will be singing/listening to for the ride to the interview. My song of choice for interviews is always Fantastic Day - Haircut 100 because I just know that today is going to be a Fantastic Day for you too.

Thanks Cheri, slight nerves but will be okay.

Nerves are good, remember deep breaths. Take a second before answering and if you arent sure of the question have a drink of water it buys time to gather the nerves. As an interviewer I prefer people to ask me to repeat the question if they havent caught it right. Remember they are just people too. They will be as nervous as you - believe me been there. And they want to bring the best out in you. Dont forget to shake their hands at the beginning and/or end. It might feel alien but it will leave an impression of you being confident. Even if you are like a swan on water but look like a duck underneath paddling like hell.

    Go for it.
