Well, my dear DS2 is an enthusiastic (!) cook, decided to make chocolate nemisis cake this afternoon. However we have had an accident and it lloks like I'll be oven cleaning big time tomorrow afternoon. Got admire his efforts though. It is cooling....

Haven't acheived much on todays list, job hunting, ironing and charity shop drop.
I have £23 of my £30 left, £3 of that will go on oven pride.

I feel an early night approaching.

My local charity shop reckons even when they sell a book for less than £1 they get £10 from it because people are happy to return it for resale - so you really are giving more than you think when you give books to charity shops!

SH That's interesting, ty. And I have quite a heavy load for my walk to work today, still it will help shift some calories from a most amazing desert last night.

Like Hypno I'm tired and skint, but at least it's Tuesday. Have some interesting bids on my piles of junk on ebay.

Going to have buy a paint scraper, for the oven..is not looking good. At least it will be used in bathroom too.

So it's minimal plans today, job hunting and oven cleaning.

Oven cleaner, not sparkling but there are only so many hours in the day !

Double figures on ebay bids.

Rain put dampeners on lawnmowing.

Must pay CT and water rates this afternoon.

Have started my 1001 day list as per stitchy's thread. Can only find 23 so far and they all seem to be house maintenance, no personal development.

Does that mean having a clean, uncluttered tidy house will make me happy ? I doubt it.

Need to think about this.

I too was looking at the 101 things list site and it has given me something to think about over the next few days. I will look to actually do my own list at the weekend.....

My oven is shocking - always the last thing to get attention. Whoever decided to invent the description "self cleaning" ought to be done under the Trades Descriptions Act.......

Hypno, oven was prority due to DS2's experimenting, trust me it's not something I would have done unless an emergency ! Still at least I am the pround owner of three various sized paint scapers to assist in bathroom completion ! A very versatile tool methinks (yes the oven was that bad !).

Absolutely...mine too. It really needs doing because every time I put it on now it smokes and sets the smoke alarm off

There have been times when friends have come round and said 'mmm, something smells nice'...I've smiled sweetly, and not admitted I've only put oven on to pre-heat.
