Due to trying new medication i have had ot resort back to toast for breakfast as I can't tolerate milk and i don't want to have to resort to Soya milk again (expensive and not keen on the taste)

Anyway i have always found i can't tolerate brown bread or rice....

This was published recently and i am defiantely better avoiding wholewheat etc...

So i'm kinda stuck with white bread as it's the only thing that doesn't upset the balance...

interesting because my doc told me to avoid insoluble fibre where i could with my IBS

of course, but in terms of changing enough to be noticeably anatomically different (apart from being taller due to increased protein) we are pretty much the same as 50,000 years ago, wheat is not a food that is essential for us
Although it can be said that it is not essential, given that we (Europeans, that is), have been eating it for thousands of years, it could be said to be a key element of our diet.

I read that wheat free bread is not very nice, is this true?
It's not the greatest taste in the world. The texture isn't much to write home about either.

You can make your own gluten free bread using commercially available mixes, but to be honest, I'd be inclined to just give it up completely.

I had a bread roll yesterday and by the evening I looked 6 months pregnant. [...] I had one Saturday and had the same thing happen so I am trying to cut out wheat for a few weeks. I often have pains in my stomach so [...] I am always so tired ...
This sounds very much like Ceoliac disorder. Definately go on a gluten free (not just wheat) diet immediately and see what happens.
So I'd be interested in hearing what other people eat when you cannot eat Wheat.
Giving up bread is not the problem (supermarket sliced bread isn't fit for anything anyway), what's difficult is avoiding all the things that have gluten in as an ingredient. You will have to become a careful label reader, as food companies put it into things that you would never imagine.

I didn't realise that were different kinds of Celiac's as well until someone who had to avoid mostly everything and had to have some foods prescribed for her explained it to me...

This kind of diet will cut out whole swathes of food types from your diet.
One way of making up for it is by investigating foods from other cultures, from areas of the world where wheat is not a staple in the daily diet. It's quite useful doing this, as you get a whole menu, not just the main course, but starters and desserts and snacks as well.

    Good advice.

IMHO the best cuisine in the world is vegetarian from the Indian state of Gujerat.

Well, maybe the sweets should come from Bengal ...
