if you open a cash account with metro bank(under 18's account) do you get the mastercard debit card???0

I travel quite a few times abroad. I understand that they offer an Account with Master Debit card that will not charge:
- Foreign currency Loading fee
- ATM with drawal abroad
- There is no mothly subcritption fee related to those account, is not it ?
Coud someone shed me the light the name of those account, I am thinking about to open one for everseas use.

I was quite keen on opening an account with this bank; however, since they first put all the information on their website, there have been subtle changes to the specific account terms and conditions. For example, with their cash account, there was no mention that you could not use your card abroad, now it says you are not permitted to. So much for 'no stupid bank rules.'I'm not so sure they're going to be all that different in the long run....
In addition, the quality of their internet banking is negligible from what I've heard and they still do not offer faster payments outwards.
I think I will wait and see how they perform over the longer term.0 -
I have seen on the previous post someone has mentioned about Cumberland BS current A/C which is functioning like NW, allow people for foreign withdrawal with their Debit Card without foreign Currency loading neither ATM withdrawal fee. Have someone experience about this ?
Is it the same with NW account ?
thank you

What about the other current a/c, what is the name of that a/c like described in this post No.2 By benjus. It could be other current a/c with debit card, not cash account.

Metrobank currently only have one current account, the leaflet talks about a current-plus account which has free something or other for a monthly fee, but the current-plus account is not yet available. So the only account which allows foreign ATM transactions is the fee free standard current account. As I said above the cash account only allows Uk transactions, I guess this is because you can't go overdrawn on the cash account, and it would impossible to police with foreign transactions.0

Apparently, the number of accounts opened by Metro bank in the first month of trading at their Holborn branch exceeded the number of applications they expected to get for the entire first year!
Wonder if this is anything to do with Nationwide's change of policy..
Have to say, when I walked past their Earl's Court Branch on Friday evening (6:30ish) it wasn't busy at all - in factm the number of staff free was almost intimidating!
They were offering new account holders who opened an account a free gift (toaster, bag etc) if they opened an account with £50+..
