    Hello :j

OH has phoned HMRC to get the forms to claim the rest of her petrol money from last year.. Her company only refund 10p a mile, and she could get the complement 30p from HMRC..

All forms now filled out and hopefully she will get her £300 quite quickly.. :D

Ps: dreading the tesco credit card statement as not sure everything fitted within our budget...

Morning all! Woohoo, it's FRIDAY!!! :j

Bring on the long weekend!! It's finally nice & sunny up here!

OH transferred £50 (her account balance before she gets paid), however I will not send it as an OP just yet, as we want to make sure that the tesco credit card is paid in full first...

I was listening to Radio 2 on my way in this morning, and Chris Evans and his team are doing their show from Thalland Bay in Cornwall, just round the corner from where we were a week ago on holiday :p

    have a good day everybody

    Afternoon all :j
Hope you all had a enjoyable bank holiday weekend?

We certainly had an expensive weekend.. We ended up in the SEAT garage on Satutrday morning, and came out with 2 new cars!!
Don't worry, it was all budgeted for, so it should not make any difference to our plans...
We are well pleased with our choices and we got a good part exchanging our old cars too.. We should get the new cars Saturday next week... Very exciting :D

On the mortgage front, nothing much to report.. NR cashed in the last cheque, so we should get the new balance sometimes this week.. I still have £50 from OH for overpayment to make this month...

    Have a good day :)

Very exciting indeed :D It was just a coincidence that both needed replacing at more or less the same time.. OH was not complying with her work's requirements (car less than 6 years old & less than 100K miles on the clock), and she could not swap with mine as mine had done over 100K as well... My car started having problems as well, therefore after much negotiations with the dealer, we came out with a pretty good deal..

    Hi

I've just started making overpayments to my Northern Rock Mortgage - Did you know you can call a number and just do a quick direct debit over the phone instaed of sending chqs off? I find this much easier and only takes a few mins - they will then give you your updated outstanding balance incase you want to record this ( I have a spreadsheet) anyway just for your reference the number is 08456028301 and all you need is your account number when calling :-) xx
    Mortgage August 2010 - £96189.42
    Mortgage September 2010 - £95773.55

    Mortgage December 2012 - £89611.42
