Try missing payments of 12.5k. Bet they'd soon acknowledge that 23.gif

    I agree with you guys!

We stayed in a lodge just up from Talland Bay.

Depending on where you are and how much stamina you have I'd recommend doing some of the coastal walk.

Polperro has lots of lovely places to eat but I'm struggling to remember names! The crumple horn by the car park does good pub grub and there are good fish restaurants on the left as you walk into the village.

Looe is great and has a sandy beach. There is a tapas bar down there which has a good range of food. Miss marple tearooms also good and most of the pasty places! You can get various boat trips from the harbour. Pedalos for hire by car park. Excellent walks through woods from river by car park too. Also a great place for crabbing!

Lerryn is down lots of windy lanes but is picturesque village on river. Cafe does good cream tea. Horse riding nearby supposed to be good too.

Talland bay you can hire canoes to go out to sea.

Lansallos has good walk to secluded beach and another great cafe for cream teas.

Polruan, fowey both worth a looksie! Cawsand and kingsand also.

There is monkey sanctuary not too far which is fun. Eden project not too far either.

If it rains try looe or heading to north coast as sometimes weather better there. Plymouth good in rain too for cinema complex, think bowling there too.

    Hope that helps!

No problem. If you let me know the kind of things you enjoy doing on holidays and ages of those involved I might be able to come up with more ideas as I've been there quite a few times as I have family down in Cornwall.

    Afternoon Jellie!

The kids are 7, 8, 10 & 11... One of them wants to visit the Eden project and I got the tickets through Tesco Clubcard :D
The others would be interested in theme parks like Monkey's World or anything of this sort, as long as there are fun activities, they are not bothered :o...

Any recommendation would be great :T

    Thanks again

    Hello all ! :j
We have received confirmation from the council that they are investigating the re-banding of our council tax... Wait & see, whether we get it or not, it does not matter, as its free, but it's worth a try!

We got our Tesco credit card statement through this morning, and looking at it, it seems that all costs were not included in our budget .. So I think we will have to review the timing of our Mortgage OP to make sure all our monthly spending is covered before we transfer our bank account balances to the mortgage.. You only learn by experience :o At least it was not a huge amount over so it could be covered without any problems...

Weather is not that great up here... OH is off shopping later on (to get all the stuff we need for the holidays :D) while am home enjoying the football on telly... :T

Only 5 more days at work and the relaxation for a whole week!

I'll put my thinking cap on! It's worth checking out the Eden project web site for activities and possibly gigs.
Also might be worth looking at the Hall for Cornwall one in Truro and the Minnack theatre- outdoors and a bit of a drive but there maybe something good on there.

Hi Froggy-G, you were mentioning earlier in the thread about Northern Rock and whether they acknowledge overpayments. We used to have a NR repayment mortgage but had to move when the fixed rate finished as they put up a silly rate to get rid of us.

I used to make overpayments by phone using a debit card and would ask what the new balance was each time and then keep my own records as NR don't send out statments very often [or at least they didn't]. They would usually send a letter of acknowledgement after a few weeks too.

    Good luck with your overpayments.:D

    Hi Teapot! :j
Thanks for dropping by, and for the info.. On the couple of OP we have made so far, NR has acknowledge them both by letter about a week after we send them the OP cheques..

Thanks again for stopping by, its so motivating to have fellow MFW's supporting you on your journey!

    Cheers

    Morning All! :j

Last week in work before the holidays! OH started packing stuff up this weekend, in anticipation of the road trip (Manchester to Cornwall) at the end of the week..

Have had to pay £65 for my table tennis membership for the coming year... Not bad considering I was paying £37 a month on the gym before, but I'd rather play table tennis once a week, than 2 hours on the treadmill...

Hoping to make another OP by the end of this month...

    Hope you are all ok?
