I should have recorded the call I made to Northern Rock, it was hilarious, I could read the operator mind "Oh no, another person following MSE advice, they have understood they could pay their mortgage early... WE ARE DOOMED!!!"
Hi there, just popping my head round the door to say hello and good luck to everyone.....
. I made a call last week to Northern Rock and I had the same experience....lol
When the operator told me how much was outstanding and could I pay as much as I want off, she said yes. You could just tell from her reaction, it was `oh not another bloody one'....
Mind you my squeeks of excitement when she told me, can't have helped.

    Small victory!! :j

Our direct debit for the water is going down by £1.03 per month for the next year... I know I am getting excited about nothing, but hey thats another £12 ish that could go towards the mortgage :D

9am on a Sunday morning, and I am up tidying up the office, and going through paperwork...

We have family coming over for Sunday lunch (after the football!!)...
We are having roast chicken and all the trimmings, then homemade apple crumble...

    Happy Sunday :A

    Froggy G :rotfl:

    Good weeekend all around :T
Roast dinner was ace, its all gone, no leftovers at all... They were so stuffed that only OH & I had the crumble...

Tonight & tomorrow will be homemade cottage pie, and the rest of the crumble...

I am looking forward to the next table tennis league game on Wednesday... This has given me a real boost and gets me out of the house :o

Not much on the money front.. 3 wins on the lottery: £10 on Saturday lucky dip, £10 in work's syndicate, £7.80 with shared ticket with colleague... OH is still waiting for a confirmation on her payrise (7 months & still going )

The xmas spreadsheet is now ready, just have to go out & buy the presents.. Need to get all the "French" presents ready by mid-October, so my Mum can take them back with her when she visits next month...It will avoid us massive postage costs, and the worry that the packages will not get there on time or even at all...

Depending on OH pay rise & bonus, we're planning on re-doing the bathroom & kitchen early next year, but as always have to wait for OH's work to get to a decision...

    Morning all! :j

Great win at table tennis last night! That should bring our team to 3rd in the table!

Pay day tomorrow, and I am off work too.. I am off to a racetrack in Warwickshire to race an Audi R8 & a Porsche (my 30th b'day present!), and then off to a nice hotel for a Spa weekend with OH...
Hopefully the long weekend will be good for OH as she is full of cold :(...

    Have a great day everybody!!

Thanks I'd be interested to know how it went. I'd like to book OH something like that for his birthday in November. Is it one of those red letter days ?

Tips? Erm ...YES! Avoid expensive fuel guzzlers at all costs even if you love them !
and avoid men with expensive car tastes ...but you won't have that problem! :D

Edit - Had a quick skim through your thread..phew! Well done on your OP's !

Did you get your phone sorted out? Me and Oh are also with 3. We went into the Trafford Centre ( I see your a fellow Manc ) and got a great deal where are phone calls to each other are free. ( that's all mainly that we use them for ) OH is on contract £25 pm and I'm on top up £10 every 3 months. A big difference to the £100 pm we use to have! Maybe worth a look at if your not sorted yet.

And Music Magpie - I've used them a lot if your with TCB you can get cashback of 7.5%, MM pay out very quickly and its no hassle.

Thanks. Look forward to that link.

He's a fine bump , 13 days and counting. It's OH first lad so he's excited , we have a Man U kit already with his name on the back...(the babys not OH :D) I do hope the scan was right though as a girl will look daft with a lads name on her back! Good luck with your family building! :)

Hey I just read that she hands her wages over to you to OP...not many ladies do that you know, We're normally all into shoes, shopping and handbags ! :p
