Ikea is lethal. We've only just started going as they have just opened one near us.
The lakes is lovely, we love driving up there and walking around. It's always surprisingly busy though!
Edit: Positive thinking I like it! ...Can I just say remember who your friends are..:D!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
You could try :
1.paying off your mortgage
2. Paying off your "friends" mortgage:D

We never win the lotto at all , well maybe £20 a year or so. We figure that cos we don't win often we'll win big one day. It's hard stopping doing it when you start.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Me too me too....
I have a mortgage needing paying off if you are still wondering what to do with 112 million? and you would have at least 111 and a half million and a few hundred thousand left! :rotfl: :rotfl: seriously though... I have £2 in my purse..wonder if a wander down to the shops to buy a ticket on this sunny afternoon is worth it?... or I could put it in the change jar...or take it to the bank next week as an OP?...decisions decisions :rotfl:
interesting discussions re: banks and irresponsible lending... I was 23 when I bought my first place, was lent 5 times my salary a month into a new job so only one payslip from there (and still in 6 month "probationary" period) and was offered a 40 year mortgage (although took a 35 yr one) and ended up 10K in debt from trying to find a loan for the deposit I needed by the time I got the keys!! ... it is crazy (and even sadder to think this only bought a small 1 bed where I live!!) I am glad I did it when I did , as would never have got on the ladder with what they are lending now, but it is such a huge debt for such a long time its scary!! so here's to getting it down asap!
well done on renegotiating insurances...I need to do that when ours renews ! sounds like your mum will have a nice holiday over here0 -
Thanks!

If you don't play, you can't win.. Unfortunately, we did not this time around...
Regarding lending, I agree with you that if they had not been so irresponsible, OH & I would never had been able to step on the property ladder when we did... When we negotiated our mortgage, we had £35K worth of debts, and ended up with a 35 year mortgage, 102 % variable Northern Rock mortgage...
