I moved from Halifax as I had a few problems with them and dont think they are quite the standard they used to be, moved to FD and they have been fab, I could write everything down I love but I did that on Caths thread and its looks a bit wierd!! but do it you wont regret it, plus they have fab mortgage/saving rates once your a customer too.

Mmm interesting, i'll go check out caths thread.

Although FD is internet only so how do you pay cash in? silly question im sure. I quite like that I can pay money and chq's into Halifax through the Post Office.

    Cath

Sorry I forgot to answer an earlier question you asked me.. You do not have to transfer your wages to FD to qualify for the bonus.. You just need to deposit £1.5K per calendar month for 3 months.. SO moving savings in and out of that account will work..

    Thanks

Thanks Froggy, having enough payroll issues at the moment without trying to change anything!

    Morning all :j

Back to ping pong tonight..after a couple of weeks break, hoping for a good win to lift us off the foot of the league table..

I have managed to find an osteopath to sort my back out, appointment Thursday next week..The cost is quite high but I need it sorted right now as its preventing from doing a lot of things and its getting on my nerves..

Finances are looking good so far.. Credit card bill is due end of next week, but everything is under control..

EX-OH has moved out this morning.. So its only me & Elvis at home..

    Hope everybody is well?

    Cheers

  • Morning Froggy.

Oh a nice win in ping pong (would I be in trouble to call it table tennis? or are there small technicalities that are different?).

If its something to do with your health you really shouldn't mind what the cost is. Or least thats my stance on it.

How are you feeling now the Ex has moved out? Must be a tough time, can only imagine :(

I am feeling ok, thanks LP.. My diary is pretty full, so I don't have that much time to think about it.. I am pretty much focused on finding a new job (and a nice holiday in between)..

Technicaly ping pong is a leisure game and table tennis is competition.. I don't mind, I just love it..

Will take your advice on board regarding health LP.. I know you've been there with the LP gang and you must know what you are talking about..

Hope your feeling ok! Are you still thinking of going contracting?
  • Ah i see, my old man was pretty good at table tenis from his years in the Navy, so as a wee nipper I picked it up from him . Played a few games at uni against my flat mates and used to kick a$$, until they started practicing without telling me when I went on a night out.... haha.

Aye had a few troubles but even before then I always thought if you can afford it to help your health you should. I wear contacts for example and I would gladly pay any fee to have my eye sight fixed. Only issue is laser treatment is done by Doctors who still wear glasses.... so if its that effective why haven't they had it done?

Put all your energy into finding that job will help take your mind off things. How wide a net have you cast for jobs? Its pretty tricky out there at the minute, we had over sixty job applicants for one job the other month. Its hard to choose between them but first impressions really count.
