It just keeps happening to you, doesn't it Froggy? So glad your mum is out of theatre. My dad had an op last month and I couldn't relax until I knew he was out either.

I'm hoping your move south gives you a new start and a big change of luck.

Rented houses round here usually get fixed up only a few weeks before moving day, so don't worry about trying to find somewhere now, just get your head round the state of the rental market and what kinds of houses are available for what prices in which areas. Oh, and when you move into rented and start saving up your deposit.... don't even think about leaving this board just because you haven't got a mortgage any more. You're part of the community here, and we want you to stay. You'll get another mortgage to pay down eventually, and in the meantime, we want to read your diary about how you are getting on and how close you're getting to the deposit you need.

(I say "we". I mean that's what I think, and I bet I'm not the only one. :))

Thanks Lois, thats very kind of you..You've put a smile on my face :D
We know more or less the area we want to live in, but as houses are snapped up so quickly, it will be a last minute decision..

I hope you guys won't mind me staying on this board when i get into renting, I promise I'll be discreet in the corner..

    Cheers

    Afternoon all!

The weekend is upon us.. My mum should have been released from hospital by now and be on her way home :j

We are driving down South to visit the in laws, then off to London Zoo tomorrow (or is it "take the in laws back to London Zoo"? ;))..

I shall be back online sometimes on Sunday..

    Cheers

No-body puts froggy in the corner.

    :o Sorry, I couldn't help it.

It's good news about your mum.

We were in Reading last weekend and it's very nice, I can see why you want to live there, plus it's nearer to France!
