Thanks all.. I am still alive-ish.. Felt really rough Thursday & Friday..

I see Mr Billy has been abusing Google translate once again.. I will have to report you if this situation continues ;) I wish I was a flemmard.. I'd rather be in work than stuck at home watching daytime telly and feeling sorry for myself..

Holiday has been postponed.. OH wants to sell the house first and move back to Reading.. She left early this morning for Reading for a friend's baby shower and should be back late tonight.. 400 miles round trip in a day  She has been very stressed and run down lately, and I have no idea how to cheer her up.. Any ideas more than welcome..

    Cheers

    La'ab Tat Froggy,

How very dare you. You should know by now that my linguistic skills go well beyond the basics in many languages and I'd never use Google translate (Altavista Babelfish, however...)

I think I'll use flemmard a good bit from hereon in. I know plenty of them so it's good to have an appropriate noun that's abusive enough to give me some heart in using it and obscure enough for them not to realise that they are being ridiculed.

I thought a wee break away was a grand idea. Sorry it's not going to happen anytime soon. How have you gotten on arranging the "date nights" you thought of back in the day? What you should do is join in a zumba class one week - if the sight of an unco-ordinated foreign giant doesn't cheer up the nation one fat bird at a time, I'm at a loss as to where we go from here (note that I do except all the non-fat birds from that horribly derogatory statement) (note also that the term "bird" is used in it's most positive context) (note that being aware of the offence that these things cause and still writing them is digging me a bigger and bigger hole) (note that, despite perevious notes, I've decided "to hell with it" and hit submit reply anyhoo)!!

How are things looking for the great migration south? Have you got a handle on the proposed timescale yet?

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Hi Billy

I have ordered the flooring for the kitchen and its being installed on Saturday, and that was the last piece of the jigsaw before we could put the house on the market.. We are finally getting there (albeit slowly).. The timescale is very much dependant on the sale of the house..

Date nights.. Well, well.. It would be easier if OH was around, but it is not the case at the moment.. She is in London this week..

Any ideas for "date nights" very welcome.. Please send your suggestions to the usual address..

No way I will make Zumba, I might be French, but I am not daft.. i would not want all these lovely women (look Billy, they are not "birds"!!) to faint when they see my fit body shaking to the Latin music!

Miserable weather up here, pretty depressing stuff..

Went to table tennis last night, and lost 8-2... I won the only single game and the doubles..

    Cheers

    Nonolata Froggy,

Sounds like a grand plan. Is the house for sale next week then? It doesn't happen to come with a couple of acres of land attached per chance?? I'm sure Manchester can't be any worse than Scotland.

Typical! Putting my foot in it again... I thought I'd retrieve the situation somewhat by doing a bit of quick google research on good ideas - http://dating.lovetoknow.com/Romantic_Date_Ideas - all I've done is scoff at every notion. I think I must have mistakenly clicked on www.pagesforwomenbywomen.com as that list is woeful!

I can take the hint. I need to venture down your way and not only sack your narcoleptic staff but also the entirety of your ping pong team!? Is it a big assumption that all these troublesome characters are English??

    Cheers,

    Billy

Well said Froggy. LOL Billy, I hereby appoint you Director of Digging though it did make me laugh a lot. I tell you what also makes me laugh a lot,

    Q. "why are women called birds"
    A. "because of the little worms they pick up"

Glad to see you up and about Froggy

A sexist joke war!? You're on ATT...

I don't understand why women want to be equal when they could be better.

That shows a lack of ambition to me.

Which is why men are better.

Some universities have Women Studies, but no Men Studies. That's pretty sexist, but then I realised we do have Men Studies.

    It's called History.

    Dear Sheila's Wheels,

Please note that women do not: "make the greatest drivers" as your advert suggests. For evidence of this in "real world terms" please see your nearest Formula 1 paddock, where you will note the only women allowed near the cars are in bikinis holding umbrellas, and that's only because they have previously agreed not to talk or touch anything.

    Kind Regards,
    J. Button

Trying to wrap presents. This must be what it feels like when a woman tries to park her car. I know what I want to do, but it just doesn't seem to be working.

My wife phoned me from the retail park.

"I can't remember where I parked the car!" she said.

"Don't panic love.... Just look round for a small gathering of men slowly shaking their heads and tutting."

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which channel I could find the Women's FA Cup Final on?

I've already checked cooking and comedy...
