I just got my house valued on Zoopla and got a pleasant surprise, values have dropped but it still looked a decent sum. Fingers crossed for you, Froggy.
It was supposed to be warmer today, but I think my region missed out. I'm sat here wearing a fleece rather than put the heating on. Had to put it on the other evening when it was just too chilly. Thanks, am hoping its gonna be a decent valuation, and hoping too to get to know how much they sold the similar house in our street for, that would give us a clear indication on how the market is heading...
The lawnmower has just died on me..Great, just what I needed, not..I am not made of money...

All the houses sold in recent years on my street are on Zoopla, Froggy, perhaps your street is on there too? I would find out from Zoopla and then ask as well, a good way of finding out how honest they are!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Ouch at the lawnmower, anyone you could borrow one from? The lawn won't need many more cuts before winter sets in now so be a shame to have to spend on one especially if you are moving.
Well done on the Currys result though! About time something went your way. Fingers crossed for a pleasing valuation tomorrow.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

How did the house valuation go?
Hi Cath
The valuation went well.. To recap we bought our house in November 06, for £148K (we borrowed £152K), our mortgage is down to £137.5K.. They valued the house at £145K with a view to sell it at £140K, with a 1.5% + vat fee, with no tie ins.. This would leave us with no equity at all (but we knew that already)..
This estate agent sold a similar place to ours for £135K round the corner, within 4 days of putting it on the market.. Our plot is bigger, and we also have open views on fields at the back and a conservatory..
We would move with OH's £6K bonus in November + a potential £10K relocation package.. We would go on to rent down South, whilst building up a decent enough deposit to buy another place..
We have decided to change the flooring in the kitchen, and then put the house on the market to test the water..
Cheers
