very good!!
sorry work is pants froggy- you are definitely in order for a run of good luck right about now!!0 -
Sorry to hear you're having such a bad time at work, seems like lots of stresses. Amazed that colleagues aren't pulling their weight / not understanding the imminent redunancy situation.
Please can I ask a question? I know you have a Northern Rock mortgage with a loan on top (is it called a Together Mortgage?). And I recall a post (which I have searched for and can't find!) where you talked about directing overpayments to the loan rather than the mortgage. How do you do that - did you set up a DD or do you have to ring and pay each month and is it easy to ensure it goes off the loan not mortgage?
Thank you in advance!!

Hi babyb06 :j
Nice to hear from you.. my mortgage is an N-RAM one, and yes I do direct my payments towards the unsecured loan.. I have tried a couple of times to do it by phone but N-Ram messed it up both times.. I now send my payments by cheque with a letter.. The body of the letter contains the following text:
Ref: Overpayment on Mortgage Account number xxxxxx-xxxxx
Dear Sir,
Please find enclosed a cheque for the value of GBP xxxx.xx as overpayment on the above mortgage account. Can you please make sure that this is applied to the unsecured loan part of this account?
I would be grateful if you could acknowledge receipt of this payment, as well as confirming the new balance following this payment.
Thanks a lot
Best regards
Froggy G
I have never had any problems doing it that way round, and about a week later, I receive a confirmation of my payment and details of my new balance with the split between the two accounts..
Hope this helps..?
I have had a read through your diary too, and noted the issues with your OH's debts.. I agree with some of the others.. He needs to pay for his own debts, but you can offer support as he goes along.. Why not make him start a diary on the DFW board?

Afternoon all!
A good weekend all around, I managed to get through most of my list of jobs to do..OH is back from her trip down South, but is very tired, she was quite glad the house was spotless when she got back and did not have to lift a finger all day yesterday... the new oven & gas hob have been installed on Saturday too..
I have booked a couple of tickets for the Bolton Food Festival next weekend, and we are off to see James Martin (a bit gutted as I wanted to see the Hairy Bikers but was sold out).. They usually have a show at some point at the Lowry so hopefully we can catch them then..
Maybe a trip to the cinema on Friday, depending on everybody's availability..
I have reached payout on VO (but am still £1 away from redeeming as not all the surveys have been approved as yet)..
I have spoken to my mum earlier, and she will need to go back to hospital in September to get "shocked" (?) with defibrilator to get her heart rythm back into shape.. Apparently, procedure is quite common, and if it works out correctly, she won't need medication afterwards.. They are both excited about their trip over here in October, and are planning to load the car full of goodies..
Off to pre-season table tennis tournament tonight..
Hope everybody is well?
Cheers

Oh well, am sure your OH will cope with James Martin instead, I know I wouldA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Afternoon all,
GG, think OH has a soft spot for James Martin.. I just like his cooking
ATT, well, well.. Actually, this is the first time I have caught the person in the act... When confronted, this person told me that they were "thinking" whilst closing their eyes.. The only thing is that the person was also snoring .. The person was not embarassed at all.. They thought they got away with it.. HR is not interestedsaying they have more pressing matters (ie catching flies and playing solitaire) Apologies for all good HR people out there, I am sorry but my HR is dreadful & pathetic.. Where is Billy when I need him?!?!?!
Not much news apart from that.. I have sent my complaint letter to Curry/Dixons this morning.. I am not expecting anything back but at least I have got this off my chest, and if this can save another customer from having the issues I have had, then I have done my good deed for the day..
I have not seen any surveys invites as yet today.. The table tennis pre-season tournament has been postponed to tomorrow night, so I stayed in and watched the football last night..
Cheers

Hi Froggy,
Thanks for the Snoozegate update, totally fascinating (not in a good way!) not to mention how some people seem to operate in a different world...
Jeez, can you imagine if you let Billy loose in your place. Billy in the HR role would be a sight to see in itself but I've noticed he's also been getting a bit gun crazy of late so who knows what he would do :rotfl:
You seem to being really well on the surveys so well done you
Regards

Taa izi Froggy,
I'll have you know Freecell is the HR professionals procrastination vehicle of choice! I can only advise, seeing as you clearly can't beat them, taking in a pillow to work and joining the snooze revolution as the next logical step. I hadn't realised that I had gained a reputation as gun crazy. I should make it clear I'm equally in favour of machetes, chainsaws and poisons...
