Garage now done.. Tyre has been changed in 15 minutes.. Cost £58 all included.. I love that local garage.. Much nicer than Kwik Fit and you never get robbed off..

Now onto the next job on the list...

I use a mobile tyre fitting service. It's fab and no hassle at all! I have to say i've never needed them but DH has twice! He also managed to arrive at work with his exhaust hanging off one morning which blemished my AA history of not calling them out (used to be a good excuse to get renewal price down but he gets his moneys worth!)
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • LOL coversation between my Dad and archetypal tyre fitting/exhaust place...

exhaust fitter: " and you'll need your catalytic converter replaced, that's gone too"

    Dad: "No it hasn't"

fitter: " No actually you're right, it hasn't".................

    Plan for this weekend:
    - [STRIKE]OH to beauty therapist tonight[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Food shopping[/STRIKE]
    - SIL & BIL over for tea tonight
    - [STRIKE]OH at hairdresser & Zumba tomorrow[/STRIKE] Zumba cancelled
    - [STRIKE]Garage to get new tyre on OH's car[/STRIKE]
    - Shopping for new flooring downstairs
    - [STRIKE]Catch up on VO[/STRIKE] Only £2 away from next payout :D
    - OH to nail painting appointment on Sunday
    - [STRIKE]Order office chair with Amazon vouchers[/STRIKE] Done, should be delivered Wednesday
    - Sort out paperwork
    - Tidy the loft
    - Finish painting the kitchen cupboards

Looks like my list keeps growing :(

Had confirmation yesterday that our Summer meet with OH's uni friends will take place in London in September, and the activity for the day will be a visit to London Zoo - first time for me.. In true MSE fashion, I have emailed them all to give them the cheap options to get tickets (through Mr T clubcard vouchers, or 2 for 1 Network rail deals).. The full price is £20.50 per adult :o No way I am paying that.. I have used my Mr T vouchers :rotfl:
I have also amended my fantasy league football teams therefore I am ready for kick off this afternoon.. Bring it on!

    Tabe Froggy,

Glad you resisted the opportunity to grab a freebie or two in all the excitement of the last week (or was the last pickings your real reason for the night out)? As a proper Frenchie, I'd have thought rioting would have been right up your street.

Happy anniversary. Glad you had a great night after braving the patience buster that is public transport. You know my views about mixing with the poor...

Fairly sure my fantasy football team is the very thing this year. Well done on the to do list as well.

    Cheers,

    Billy

Thanks Billy.. Yes, us French are very good at rioting, its in our blood :rotfl:

Public transport is not for me, thats for sure, but it might have to be an option for the future, depending where we end up living and working..

Fantasy football team not doing very well but there are still 3 games to go this weekend..

    Cheers

Managed a 5 miles walk after breakfast this morning, and a load of house chores.. The house is now sparkling..

Thank you to Mr T price check, I got a £6.28 voucher to go against next week grocery shop ;)

I can now enjoy the football in peace this afternoon..

    Hope everybody is well?

    Eli O Froggy,

May have misplaced my trust in my fantasy football team! Bloody Arsenal midfield screwed me over yesterday. Yet to find out how my entire defence got on (all Chelsea and Man City) hello :) ! (a Moyra intervention).

Hello to Mrs Froggy G too! (a second intervention - I'm moving to the other side of the couch now...)

    Hey! (now moving room!!)

Pretty sure that once the better weather sets in (I hear good things about 2015), you'll be able to get your riot on. If you move closer to London, that only means a load more shops to hit. I'm pretty sure that I'm done with British public transport forever. They could stick petrol up to a fiver a litre and I'd still never contemplate the bus or train (although hopefully the roads would be more of a joy to drive on).

Well done on the jaunt. You'll be match fit in no time (although I have my doubts as to the fitness levels required for table tennis). We've predictably had "summertime" light rain all day so a game of badminton is all we've managed today. Back on the exercise regime tomorrow!

How is the renting / moving venture coming along? Hope you're remembering to take care of your date night responsibilities as well.

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Morning all

Been to see the nurse this morning, to check my blood pressure again.. Result was 120 over 74 (I know Billy, you are disappointed :o).. Result is great for me though, back to top form hopefully..

OH is away down South for the rest of the week, she'll be back on Sunday night... So only Elvis & I to rule the roost!! :j:j

Am at table tennis practice tomorrow night, and hoping to have a cinema night this week too.. Any recommendations??

    Cheers
