Ooh exciting Froggy. Have you started looking at places to rent down south? How long do you think you will need to save up your deposit? Will look forward to reading your house hunting stories.

    Afternoon all!

Well, first game of the new table tennis season, and it was a defeat 7-3, I won one of my games.. :o next week is the derby (against other team of my club)..

Concerning the move, we will get the flooring sorted in the kitchen in the next week, and the house will go on the market in the next couple of weeks..

We have started looking at rentals down south, but as they are snapped up so quickly, most of them don't even make it on the Right Move website.. We have to consider Elvis in the process, so we need to make sure that our future landlord accepts pet..
When it comes to building up a deposit down South, we probably need about £60K (which is 20% of a £300K house).. Prices are twice what it is up here.. We also have to consider stamp duty on top of that.. So its fair to say, it will take a long long time before we are back on the home ownership register...

    Hope everybody is well?

    Cheers

Saved the cost of a plumber callout (circa £60) as I managed to repair a faulty kitchen tap.. I changed the washer..Alright it took me and hour and a half for a job that should take 2 minutes, but hey, well worth the saving..
Thanks you to You Tube for the instructions..
