This one is definitely in brown :D .

Not sure what to do about the rest that I owe them.
They do take credit card payments but there is a small surcharge for paying that way plus the card's interest. Alternatively I could phone them and arrange a monthly direct debit to pay the arrears and be charged a much lower rate. The trouble with that is although most of them are OK, some of them can get a bit small minded about it and start talking to you like you've just pooed your pants.
Even though there would be credit card interest, my van loan will be over in a couple of months so that will free some funds. Also, I like the idea of having a clean slate with HMRC in the hope that I can start putting a ton a week away for the next bill.
I sense that this could be one of those occasions when the cheapest option may not necessarily the best option for my head. I'm already nearly three weeks late with it and I'm surprised they haven't written yet. Irritatingly, the amount of money I'm owed by customers would nearly clear this bill - but that's the way it is when you're self-employed.
