Morning everyone
£25.00 today please paul, to CC1.I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -
Hey all, back again... just realised that before I started PAD-ing, which was only 15th Nov - not even a month, my CC1 bill was £3000.
It's now only £2575, so I've paid off £425.00 in less than a month, which is fantastic. Before I was only paying the minimum (£180) or about £20 over, so £200 at best.
Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the PAD-ers who've made me feel so welcome on this thread, I wouldn't have done it without you guys! :beer:I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -

. It's not as if you don't get any warning that it's on its way out. I didn't get any warning tho! It was fine driving down my road then the next road it just went!! Do you think that screeching noise I've been getting lately could be from the clutch??I can just imagine you sitting there revving away and nothing happening.:mad::p yes it was great fun :p
Paul (veteran of three clutch changes down the years in various vehicles).
I find that it's best to avoid balancing a vehicle on clutch/accelerator as much as possible as that wears them much more quickly. I have no idea what you mean :whistle:I tend to use handbrake more. I had one vehicle that I took to 142,000 miles on the original clutch - when I sold it. Mind you, I did need the handbrake cable to be changed at one point. That might not have happened if I had balanced the clutch more but that probably would have meant a new clutch. I think using handbrake more is a good habit that has come from owning vans instead of cars in the last 20 years. Slipping the clutch isn't always so great in a van - especially if it has a heavy load (IMO of course).
Yes I'm terrible at lights for not putting handbreak on!:o Still waiting for mechanic to go and collect it tho am getting pi55ed off now!! I appreciate they're busy but I need a car!!!!!!
