Tooting Bec tube 10 minutes walk away.
You must know RYDAL ROAD/Riggindale Road? Pretty nice £1M houses for Streatham.
Night love!
Yes. I had friends who had a flat in Riggindale Road. And they got out as well. And my flat was nice too. But that didn't stop the rest of Streatham being a dump or prevent me from being mugged.
High End finish 20sqm flat. What you going to do? Put in two expensive kitchen units and a proper cooker instead of a camping stove? You could save time by investing in two paintbrushes and paint both sides of the room at the same time.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

These are young guys with the income to afford to pay £145pw additional.
It costs about £130pw to parkyou car in central london.
£145.00 is affordable plus £30.00 a week for the train before they head home friday night. I know giys who do it, its not unheard of.
It's more than 30 minutes, surely? It's 25 minutes odd just on the train, and you've got to add walking to / from the station, getting on and off the train, etc.
Parking is more like £40 a week in central London, round Kings Cross Thameslink / Clerkenwell.
Why would I pay £145 a week to live in Streatham and commute to central London (that costs money, too) when I could pay a similar amount and live within walking distance of the central Thameslink stations?
For example, £135 a week in Bloomsbury:
http://www.primelocation.com/uk-property-to-rent/details/id/QQQS6733344
Or £139 a week in Caledonian Road:
http://www.primelocation.com/uk-property-to-rent/details/id/BERN6514235
Or £135 a week near King's Cross:
http://www.primelocation.com/uk-property-to-rent/details/id/BERN5705943
there are lots more, too....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Have to agree here, there are SHED LOADS of studios in zone one for 180pw or less, INCLUSIVE OF bills in some cases.
Personally I wouldnt live in a studio and I would never live apart from my partner through the week either. So I think its important to realise what the market is.
I think you need to be realistic that you will only get DWP tenant in that area.
Wouldnt bother with too much "high end finish" ( well you wont get much in there will you, doubt you will get in the Miele Washing machine, the smeg fridge, the Bosch Dishwasher, all features of what Id call HIGH END) as the churn of DWP tenants or students will wreck it. IK guess you could use chrome door handles to give the impression?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Who the hell is going to have a pied-a-terre in Streatham? That's just ridiculous.
Although that appears to have been proven on this thread already.0 -
