We manage the buiilding and the freeholder has already approved 1 studio and the making of a 1 bed into a two bed onnthe flat under mine but I will check with him so its all above board.0 -
Out of interest... are these studios going to have the living room, bedroom and kitchen all as one room?0

30 mins to Farringdon and you expect £500/month for a 20m2 bedsit? I think optimistic is the word.0

Also.. Have you considered how much space you might lose by granting access to the two studios upstairs?
It sounds as if you have a 12x10 room on the ground floor and a large living area and bedroom on the upper floor.
Having an entry to the property in this 12x10 room whatever it is might be fine when you can !!!!!! off upstairs but having a 12x10 kitchen/living/bedroom with a door off to the bathroom and a door off to the street.... Its a pipe dream.
Where is the space going to come from within your wall dimensions as you have described them to get people up to the second level of your flat as it is now? Unless you put a coridoor you'll need two staircases taking even more space off the already tiny cage studio that is downstairs.0 -

I don't know the SE, but you seemingly do. Is the 63sqm 1 bedroom flat is worth £300,000?0 -
