I'm really worried as I bought 3 items on the 3 for 2 and 2 of the items are unsuitable so I dont want to keep them, but I would like to keep the cheapest (free) item.
How would Tesco go about letting me return the 2 I dont want?
Also.. I bought a girls school polo shirt just so I can get free delivery. I dont even have a girl, but will they be okay with me returning this back in store??
It must be very difficult for them to process all the returns instore on these online orders!!♥ Blogger at Victoria's Vintage Blog ♥0 -
Have just had a phone message left by tesco, they said unfortunately it was listed incorrectly as a 2 piece and has now been amended. They said the price for the shirt alone was correct. No mention of a refund or anything! I'm disgusted with them. I don't have a landline so it'll probably end up costing me the shirts value to keep ringing them. Guess who's taking them back to her local tesco today and swapping them for some trousers which is what I was really after anyway!

Well look what I just had in my inbox guys!!!
Thank you for your email.
I'm really sorry to hear that the 2 x Cherokee 2 Piece shirt sets that you ordered from our Clothing at Tesco website did not arrive with the jeans included. I can appreciate how disappointing this must have been for you, especially as they were advertised together as a set.
Having investigated this for you, I can advise that unfortunately, this was an error online. It is supposed to be just a shirt and this now been amended online.
Please let me assure you, that we do try hard to make sure that our products are clear to understand. It's certainly not in our interest to mislead anyone or to upset our customers.
I'm really sorry to hear that one of your 3 for 2 items is out of stock on our Clothing at Tesco Website. I can appreciate how disappointing it is not to be able to take advantage of our special offer because of this.
We do everything we can to ensure our systems are updated regularly. This helps reduce the amount of items we have to cancel when they go out of stock.
However, Clothing at Tesco is quite a new venture for us, and we are always looking at ways of improving the service we give our customers. So I have passed your complaint down to our Business Support Team for them to discuss at their next review meeting.
Despite this, I do hope you continue to use Clothing at Tesco. And to say sorry for the disappointment caused, I have added a £10.00 credit to your account to cover the cost of the discount you didn’t receive and so you can also receive free delivery on your next order. You can also use the credit against any item of clothing if there happens to be a free delivery offer on at the time. There’s no expiry date on this credit, so it will stay on your order until such times you may wish to use it.
Thank you for taking the time to bring this to my attention. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day.

They refund the order in store - it is really easy, they scan the item and then use the price that is on the invoice. It was easier than filling the form out and sending it back because the barcode is on the outside and I ripped the outpackaging off and never kept it. The price of the 3 for 2'S was pro-rata'd on mine so if I paid £3 each and it was 3 for 2, each item was charged at £2 so if I took 2 items back I was refunded £4 - if that makes sense.0 -
I had bought some fancy dress costumes that worked out as £6.18 each. Took three of them back(as I didn't realise that they already had them - doh), and they refunded me the price on the invoice - and I got to keep the free items (they weren't even mentioned)0

i don't think the 3 for 2 is on anymore is it :-( :-(0

I went and exchanged these earlier and the till lady gave me £19 refund for 3 cardys, my whole order was only £32 so basically i got 5 items for £13 they cancelled one item...so this returns thing has worked well for me for a change :j
It just depends whats marked down on your invoice, it can be unfair though.0 -
What happens if the item you want to return don't have a price on the invoice? The 2 school items I want to return (got 6 items on the 3 for 2) were both classed as my free items, so don't have a price next to them on the invoice0

Return them without an invoice and you will get the price they scan at back on a gift card of for an exchange!:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!
