Sun shining, feeling positive as OH coming home tonight :j:j
Off to the office to sort out my new computer, they forgot to put me on the network :eek: 3 days back at work and still not caught up with my emails!
Still intend finishing early today though so that I can cook a lovely meal for tea and I might stop off at the library too to join. Thats very MSE of me.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. What a treasured find at the perfect moment :A.
I do like my slow cooker but my mum makes the best casserole ever with chicken, sausage and bacon.
We went to the library this morning and are going for a trial at the gym at 1pm .
If I don't come back you know I am stuck under a piece of equipment somewhere as I can't walk back to the car!0 -
Yes, when I went to the gym I used to be at the doors of the gym by 6.30 and in work by 8.30, I felt so much more energetic. I think that I am getting old. This is such a great feeling if you can manage it.
I was a very naughty girl yesterday, after my meeting I wandered into smiths and came out armed with 3 books on gardening. Last night I did the MG challenge and cleared out my briefcase, I found a zipped pocket that I had forgotten existed and inside was an unopened envelope. The briefcase was a present from my OH the Christmas before moving to Wales and starting the new job. It was also the last Christmas my Mum was with us. Anyway, the envelope was the Christmas card from my Mum, I must have put it in the briefcase on Christmas Day (she always gave me my card on Christmas day) and inside was £20!!!! with a lovely message to buy something nice. I had just been feeling very guilty about buying the books so that made me feel much better and cheered me up again.
aaah how lovely - I do love coming home with lots of new books. I get a similar buzz now by going to the library instead!
Plan for today is to work my socks off - computer is being TNT'd which means that I can access my emails and server (security settings mean that I cannot access from any other laptops) so I will have lots to catch up on. I hope then to have a quieter day tomorrow so that I can finish a bit earlier as OH is home for the weekend.
Thinking also about nipping to Argos tonight to get a slow cooker as I have quite a few nice recipes for one. It is next door to Lidl and they have lots of vegetables on offer from today from 16p -39p according to the grabbit board so that should be a good saving for the weekend. I am just trying to work out if it is cheaper to run the slow cooker for several hours than having the electric cooker on for an hour Mmmmm needs some investigating.
Well for the first time this week it isnt raining outside
Have a good day all
Did you work out which was cheaper cos I would be interested to know! Still nothing beats that moment when you walk in the house from the cold and can smell the dinner cooking mmmmmmmmIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
hope the catch up with OH is going well!

Today is international peace day, so I am planning to have a peaceful day. I am switching my work phone to answer phone and sitting quietly in my office thinking!
The weekend went by far too quickly but it was a rather lovely time. The busiest I got was cooking lovely meals and washing dishes, other than that we just sat around and enjoyed each others company.
I have managed to booboo again where the Big Moo is concerned. OH and I decided earlier this year that we would go away for Christmas and we duly booked a cottage in the German Alps. The plan was to take Moo along with us. I read up on Pet Passports and thought that I had it all covered. Took him along yesterday to the vet for his vaccinations and he started to explain everything to me.- vaccinations
- blood test 30 days later (if not successful further vaccination and blood test 30 days later)
- allowed to take him out of the country day after successful blood test.
- So far so good, if the first test fails I am still in time for Christmas holiday
- THEN the big Whammy, cant reenter the UK until 6 months from date of the blood test WHAT
Things that I need to think about -- cancel holiday? 50% deposit already paid and no refund options
- Change the holiday dates to fall after April? - Not really an option as part of the reason for this holiday is to scope out the area as we hopefully want to move there early next year.
- Find somewhere for Moo to stay over Christmas. - He coped really well with friends staying but they wont want to stay here for Christmas and staying in their house is probably asking too much.
In other news, I am expecting to hear on Friday about the severance  but I am out all day in Swansea and they have not yet returned my berry so not sure how I will hear. Please everybody send positive vibes for me.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. It would seem that a slow cooker uses the equivalent amount of electricity as a light bulb so I think that would be cheaper. Unfortunately they didnt have the one that I wanted and I couldnt afford £70 for the four in one cooker even though it really appealed. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. ~~~~~~~~~~~~vibes for Moo and your holiday and severance Cherisong! I'm sure it will all work out xxx0

I'm hoping it all works out too - sending postiive vibes.
I did wonder if we could help with Moo - I'm on the mainland over xmas/ny but in scotland -probably not much help?
Thoughts with you - and btw I wish I had pippi's strength!!!!! I can confess to the plaits and the odd stripey socks!
Just a thought, slowcookers often come up in autumn in big supermarkets on offer - I got mine last year for £8 on a deal (should have been £30) - I'll keep a watchful eye for youTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

We're staying home this Christmas. moo would be more than welcome here. An extra horse in the house wouldn't make much difference. Theres plenty of floor space for everyone. The gardens big enough for him to race around and if needs be the field adjacent to the house is secure and the farmers amenable. I'm sure there are lots of options available to you.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Lots of lovely vibes coming through already :j. Fingers crossed for severance!0
