Thank you so much Cheery, lovely words and thoughts make all the difference.
I am doing fine today. There are people who are far worse off than me so moaning about being alone is nothing compared to what I could be going through. Just a bad day yesterday. I am exhausted though and cant work out why I am so tired all of the time. I need a good kick up the behind. Off to give myself one.
Thank you so muchSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Morning.
Don't know why I had a bad day on Friday, couldn't pinpoint it, no singular thing.
But onwards and all thatDC.

Sometimes it isnt worth asking why. Just go with the flow and then when you are ready you will perk up. Hope today is better for you. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Cheri
I saw Sirius at around 10.30pm last night, look out for it
How is the severeance (sp?) dilemma going ? Have you made a definete decision ?DC.

oooo I will check it out tonight and let you know.
Severance final estimation was received yesterday. If I dont want to continue then I will have to tell them by 6th to withdraw my name. The more that I think about it (and after long talks with OH) I have decided that even if this offer wasnt there that I would not want to be doing this job forever and would eventually leave so I might as well go for it because if I am accepted then it would be money that I would never get anywhere else. The fact that this came up really just clarified what I had been thinking for a while. So. I will know by 24th September if I have been successful. I have now seen the selection criteria and I reckon that I stand a 50/50 chance based on that. So I need everybody to send out positive thoughts to the Board of Directors. I never thought that getting older could affect my stamina as much as it has. And I know that it isnt due to level of fitness because I exercise as much now as I ever did. I am still young I know but I can feel the difference. This job is very draining and not one that I can sustain longer term. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Ooh, cherisong, fingers crossed and positive thoughts to the board of directors for you! xx0

What a fine day today has been so far. I am sitting on my sofa eating HM blueberry muffins (ok so I was going to freeze them but I thought just one more woudnt hurt) and fresh coffee from the cafetiere, (a rare treat as I think it is a waste to make a pot for one person. However I have just discovered that it can be warmed up in the microwave) whilst listening to jazz on radio 3. Today I have been to the prom and sat in the outdoor cafe watching the sea and all the holiday makers. Wel,l when I say sat in the cafe, I actually mean I sat on the bench which is on the prom right beside the seats for the cafe on the prom. I proceeded to get my flask of coffee and blueberry muffins out of my Radley tote bag made from plastic bags (a present from my last place of work when I left and I love it) and a copy of Country Living (bought from CS more to come later). Two old dears came along and sat on the bench with me and were quite amused that I was so bold as to do this. They were rather impressed with my ingenuity and thought I looked very chic considering I had not spent any money.
Music today has been sublime, I listened to the prom from Cadogen Hall earlier whilst driving through the country lanes on my way home from a particularly fruitful charity shop excursion. I know, I have no money BUT I couldnt leave them there. Besides one of the items is being delivered to the house on Friday so they agreed to cash on delivery which means that I dont have to pay for it until next month technically so I will take it out of the treat money for next month. So my haul for the day is (wheres the drum role smiley)- Monsoon black wool skirt (size 8 and it fits) with big blue embroidered flowers. (Brand new with tags) £4 I liked this in the shop but I wasnt going to pay £85 for it YES thats right. Nothing wrong with it at all.
- Nest of 3 tables for shabbying up - £10 (label was 20 but he let me have them for £10 because I have bought there before) will put pictures on blog when they are done
- The big item - (only being delivered next week because we couldnt pick it up to put in the car) Oak bookcase (circa 1900) with glass doors and a metal key in tact. £40 with free delivery because they couldnt pick it up. Again to be given the shabby chic treatment and pictures will go on blog.
I guess all of this could be classed as MSE though because our home will be like a picture from Country Living when I have finished but for a fraction of the price. Well, I hope so anyway.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I sold my old wedding ring today too, so that is £45 that will go towards todays haul. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Sunday morning and the wind is howling. What is happening to the weather at the moment. Hopefully it will pick up again next week as I have another week booked of work from 3rd September.
Today I intend to be a domestic goddess. I am going to tackle the airing cupboard. This is a necessity as I am changing my bedding and things have just been shoved into the airing cupboard. No I will not iron it!!!!!! Hopefully the wind will help to dry the washing nicely. Today is going to be a NSD. I have everything in that I need. I might set myself a target for NSD next month, but I will have to take into account my trip to London.
Right off I go with the first round of the house. Starting in the Living Room. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Very MSE day going on here. Cleaning done with Stardrops, windows cleaned with vinegar and a little geranium oil added to my newspaper to shine them up. Just finished making apple and blackberry jam, wholewheat bread is baking the bread maker and pearl barley is in the slow cooker for my tibetan roast later on. All is well with the world.
The sun is shining so off out into the garden to continue the refurbishment of my lovely lloyd loom ottoman. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
