Has anyone tried the permanent (Brazilian) blow dry? What are the good/bad points?
Is it worth the £150+ cost?

I have not had it done myself, but a good friend of mine has it done every few months and swears by it, although I am sure she pays £80.
Her hair always looks great and keeps it shape with minimum effort so she says, I am sure she said you have to use a specialist shampoo which doesn't foam up like normal which she is not that keen on but says its worth it not having to get the straightners out all the time etc.:hello:0 -

I think I would have to go to major salons like Saks, etc for this treatment. Tony & Guy quoted me £200 for long hair the other day, which I can't afford at all.
Do you happen to know where your friend had it done?
I wouldn't mind using the shampoo you mentioned, provided I didn't have to use my GHDs 3 - 4 times a week as I've been doing.0 -
She uses these salons http://www.clipso.co.uk/siteEng/salons.html
I will see her in the week and can ask her more details, can't afford it all myself
......she could of course told me it cost less than it actually did!!!! :hello:0 -
I go to this salon - highly recommend!

It's in Cumbernauld, Scotland. Total cost is £99 and it lasts 3-4 months."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

If you highly recommend it why not have it done there for £99 rather than the £200 you have quoted elsewhere? Ask around if anyone else has had it done there so you can check out their hair before taking the plunge.:hello:0 -
Sounds interesting I will have to ask at my local to see what prices they have, if they have it!!!£2 saving club = £86:j
June £10 a day challenge = £0/£300 :rotfl:
Match Betting = £1910 -
Hi, I had this in Cheltenham cost £175 and didn't last long at all. Wouldn't recommend it. A couple of years ago I had my hair chemically straightened and that cost £250 and WAS worth it. So I would suggest, pay a bit more and have it chemically straightened.
Also, those shampoos and conditions that you have to buy for the permanent blow dry are REALLY expensive.0 -

I am totally confused by this post. What £200 I have quoted elsewhere? I have never posted about this treatment before."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
