And £35 for a bed is just ridiculously cheap. Realise everyone may have already suggested this, but have you tried Freecycle for furnishings? Sometimes you get some good stuff on there.

bed has just arrived, few scratches but still very nice, very big and solid i like it enough to go in my room so means can find another cheap one that can go in lodgers room!

lol i attempted to sign up for freecycle a while ago but didnt quite go to plan. i receive emails few times a day from them but cannot actually look at them! going to look into it again

hmmm slightly off track, managed to sign into freecycle and found someone offering a hamster cage and accessories so i have sent an email to see if they still have it! cant wait to get a hamster i used to have the most amazing hamster called bill so this will be her replacement! :A

Yeah, glad you are pleased with bed :T, and here's hoping for replacement hamster home as well .

My mum never let me have a hamster when I was growing up. My best friend had one called Hammy (how original) and it nipped me once. Been terrified ever since! :eek:

thanks! bill was a softy, loved being picked up and stroked. she did bite my brother once though but he was poking her so he deserved it! if i dont get a response i might post a wanted ad for it. there are a lot of ppl wanting double beds!

i have a confession- went to tesco and bought a ready meal! had to buy on card as not enough in purse oops

on the plus side got two more audits today so i now have enough jobs booked to reach my £250 target! will try for more as i will not be able to do as many when i move house as will be busy for a while!

thought i'd drop in as you did on my diary.

Well done on the house front. Am a tad jealous of the help you are getting from your mum, as i'm having to do this the long way round saving from scratch, I'll get there eventually though.

Hope the lodger situation pans out nicely as I'll probably need your advice on that when I eventually catch up to you.
