Shame you haven't got your new iron, it's wonderful :rotfl:

Hey clippy just wanted to say lovely new diary, and congratulations on buying your house, am so happy for you. I sounds like you have your budget all worked out, but don't beat yourself up too much when you don't meet it straight away, its a learning curve and you have to walk before you can run so you are doing brilliantly!

thanks for the encouragement missy :D trying hard to be good this month as i cleared £500 off my overdraft on the 19th when i was paid (also had a bit left from last month). so am a bit shorter than usual this month until payday. is it sad i cant wait until 19th so i can add up where i am at and pay money into my holiday account? lol :)

productive day today :D i did the following-

went and bought entertainment unit that matches my nest of tables for the house (bought as is a bargain range and seems to be selling quickly)
cooked a pot of stew and a sasuage casserole that i have now froze in small portions
tackled the ironing! took 3 episodes of no angels (love 4od!) but i have now done it all :T
transfered all my files from old laptop to external harddrive and am now in process of transfering them onto new laptop.
had a bit of a tidy up in my room and made a 'new house corner' where i am stacking the things i have bought up. got some vegetable boxes from the supermarket so i am putting everything in those.

quite happy with what i have achieved today although makes me wonder what i normally waste sundays doing!

i am going to gove myself the following tasks for the week-

    [STRIKE]finish transferring data over[/STRIKE]
set up printer on new laptop
[STRIKE]post old laptop to hp to get £65 cashback [/STRIKE]
ensure i go swimming at least 3 times
    [STRIKE]
list picture frames i bought and have not used on intranet at work to see if can sell them
    [/STRIKE][STRIKE]finish my remaining surveys[/STRIKE]
register for online banking and re-register for nationwide. i use egg money manager and did not write down my passcode for nationwide. need to re-enter all details on new laptop and i cant remember them!

gosh that seems a lot! see if i can stick to it! have decided to give myself the full budget for this week despite last weeks overspend as i want to ensure i can stick to it as demotavating to not be able to!

think i will have to transfer over a small amount from my MS account as i also need petrol and due to the £500 payment do not have enough left. as i do 25 miles a week for MS figure i should treat myself to tank of petrol with the proceeds every now and again!

right, off for a nice bath and then sort out my mortgage docs to post tomorrow :)

    today has been ok :)

spent 27p on a curly wurly (oops), 60p to go to my salsa class and £4.09 in morrisons on fruit and milk. should last for breakfast and lunch all week now :) had a portion of stew for dinner tonight which was nice and will be making a pot of chilli tomorrow i think :T

was not a good day for the diet as after i ate my curly wurly our training man bought me and the other trainees some biscuits as we passed our exams and then a lovely colleague bought us a box of chocs. i have managed to scoff half mine :(

remembered today i am going to manchester next weekend so i will need about £40 for petrol and then god knows how much for spends for the weekend. usually would easily spend £100 but will try not to! going to try and not be too extravagant but at same time do not want to be too miserly as have not seen friend since feb so want a good catch up. inevitabley we will go shopping so i will buy myself some new coloured pumps which i need (had to throw out two year old purple ones as they were worm out and did not smell very fresh _pale_) lol :)

so my challenge for this week is to only spend what i have in my purse which is £14.04. i am going to try my hardest to make it last until i go to manchester next friday  as a minimum i will ensure it lasts until sunday. dont need to buy anything except more fruit and milk and maybe bread so fingers crossed

have just submitted a survey, well paid one as well :) first ms of aug, second in the morning before work :)

    evening,

NSD yesterday! today i spent £1.20 on car park as i went into town at lunch to get fringe trimmed (free :T) and to do a mystery shop. i then spent 80p buying a cake at work though :( oops! had to buy petrol today as i am nearly out and going to great yarmouth tomorrow for work (joy oh joy....not ). will need to pay for parking also and walk around lugging kit with me :(

has been a good day today though as i have made £24.50 doing a MS and a survey and i made £8.50 yesterday :)

got surveys to submit tomorrow which will earn me £36.50 :T:beer: so all good.

also am getting some free cardboard boxes from someone at work for when i move house which is good!

aiming for a NSD tomorrow (apart from parking which will be reimbursed by work, although not until 19th September now ) working late on friday night at work so not goimg in till lunch. having drinks to celebrate exam results so going in early for that but i will just have one can of coke (cant drink anyway as will be out doing inspections!) so aiming for a spend of £1.50 for friday (not sure how much coke is) :)

still got £13.04 to last until next friday (i am now determined to make it last til then as got no plans to do anything and have done well last few days). :D

ps forgot to add i also made a massive pot of stew and got 5 portions in freezer now and had one for dinner! used my 35 spice that i bought in morocco and it was yum :D
