Oh don't worry about that Trialia....I would die of embarrassment with my numbers. You certainly wouldn't find me putting it in my sig on here.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Sue - if you claim out of work benefits, (I seem to remember you're a carer for your youngest?) you may get reduced rate leisure. I know my council does this.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Singlesue, I am in a similar situation to you and I went to a class which really helped me understand what I should do. The main point I took away was that you have to set yourself at the right level, you should be able to do X every day without making yourself worse, having to lie down after or needing days off to recover. A lot of what I did in the course was using core muscles as they are very weak and have a direct correlation to the strength of a persons back, which is probably my main problem area. My 'teacher' made a really good point about slow, controlled movements as they still work the muscle quite hard but you don't risk injury by slamming weight down or jolty movements. If you know about core muscles I can give you a list of things to try, you probably won't lose weight for a while as you have to build it up until you can do quite a lot per day, but it's a far better idea than throwing yourself in at the deep end and causing further damage.0

Thanks for that, any help would be very much appreciated.
The throwing myself into it is usually more my style....and probably why I have to rely on crutches now! :rotfl:We made it! The receptionist at my doctors surgery looked puzzled at me as I told her I wanted 3 separate appointments, I had to laugh. But I've finally made the appointments that I've procrastinated over since before Xmas, I think one of them is with a doctor I really REALLY don't like and who made me cry on my birthday once, but I only need to see him about an ear problem I have so that shouldn't be too bad.0

SingleSue Mr LW and I treated ourselves to WiiFitPlus, and we've both lost weight using it and got fitter.
We opted for this because classes of any sort are not an option for me, due to severe social phobia.
Now, I realise it's not a cheap method, but read on.:)
I'm limited in what I can manage of the exercises; I do, however, make sure to do 30 mins of yoga each day, whatever else I don't manage. I'm wonderin' if it'd be an option to get a good yoga book from the library, for some guidance, because I'm darned sure the yoga is helping me lots!

I slept around my girlfriends the other night, and her dog ate my hearing aid (the earmound bit) in the morning as I was getting ready for work. I had to laugh quite funny enough, however I rang work (Somehow managed to hear on the phone?!) and told my manager that I couldnt come in for above reasons (I said the truth) and he sounded like he didnt believe me, I was shocked at this. He kept going on about 'how could I hear him on the phone and why I would need my hearing aid' such crap. I work in a fast food place which involves customers services ect ect so yeh. I could only hear on the phone because the sound was 'directed' to my ear. I was appalled at this as well as made me quite angry.
They also give me too many hours, I got a shift next sunday which is 10 hours (Is this even allowed?!?! Jheeze). Thinking this I already struggling with my work at college and the bloody work decided to give me 31 hours next week.
Sorry all, im just ranting and raving on and on xx0 -
Well, what an interesting visit that was to the Neurosurgeon:
Apparently, I probably don't have torticollis. He said that my lower limbs are stiff. This has never been mentioned or noticed by anyone. It may also explain my knee pains, which were put down to "growing pains".
He'd rather not do botox - because of the issues with swallowing. I am due to have an MRI. I've never had one of these before. ANy advice would be appreciated. Thank you.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
