really hate feeling like this, i can't think straight, can't focus.....
plus trying to find a job, and i sit here and wonder how on earth will i cope
Am also halfheartedly job hunting but it's hard when you know you will struggle for whatever reason to cope and then start thinking nobody will take a chance on an ill/disabled/etc person anyway.
Brassed off, not on your particular meds but I know when mine have changed or dose upped/down it takes a good week or so to settle into it and it can really rough you aboutin particular when my sleepers were changed, for a good few days they maked me supercharged almost like have had 6 strong coffees and find it impossible to relax and drop off.
FP - I've not had a decent night's sleep since i was very naughty and got drunk and still took my tablets, totally not recommending that at all but I was desperatelast few days have had appointments to go to and not been taking my sleepers to make sure am up and bright. And tomorrow have a 120mile round trip to see my consultant so can't take tonight either
Bright side of today - got taken out for lunchTrying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

Good for you Axe!
Job hunters, do keep going, I've been there, done that and got T shirt. As I've said before, I work from home now and it's wonderful.
I can choose my hours more or less, though sometimes I have to make calls at pre-set times.
LW, hope you are enjoying /did enjoy your break. What a brilliant week to pick.
Those in pain - hugs. FP - if you are bored, no need to pay for TV if you have a decent wi-fi connection - use iPlayer.
Adjustable beds are fantastic. Mine is the best thing I bought this year. I do recommend satin sheets if you have problems rolling over and moving around in bed. They aren't expensive - Primark do full bed sets very reasonably
Back to work!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Eldest son completely overdid things at a special event in our town on Wednesday (he was helping in the running of one of the things connected to it), so much so that yesterday morning I received a phone call from the school to come and pick him up.
He looked awful, could barely walk (the walk cross site from the other school had been the last straw for his body - the 6th form is based over two high schools and they walk between them) and could barely keep his eyes open for drowsiness/dizziness and that school took one look at him and told him he was going home before he did even more damage (they know his medical history inside out). When I got him home, he went to bed and didn't wake up for 10 hours...and even then was still completely exhausted.
He is a little better today but walking is still a problem as the constant dislocating of his knees on the walk over between the sites has obviously left some damage (more so than usual - dislocating is not unusual but it was all the time yesterday) and he is still quite washed out and exhausted.
One day he will learn that he cannot push his body to extremes like he did, EDS and POTS does not allow for that....but then, I haven't learnt either, so who am I to talk!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Sue, IKWYM. I did it to myself yesterday... convention in London and while I was in a wheelchair for the majority of the day I was still sore all over and falling asleep on my feet by the time I finally got home. And then I still had to take off the green make-up before I could go to bed.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0
