It was planned... Although they had to open the PSSU over the weekend which meant they didn't have a bed for me for three hours and I had to sit on a horrible and uncomfortable chair.
It was supposed to be a pain management thing, but when I got the letter it was intensive physio and hydro, but even though I've been in since 9am this morning I haven't heard anything from them so it's not really intensive.
Having complained earlier, it is quite a luxury if I think about it. Comfortable bed I can have in any position, TV (if you pay for it), wireless Internet, beautiful view, 3 square meals a day and disabled friendly bathing facilities.0 -
Perhaps they don't know you're in? It has been known before, especially if when they checked, you were in that chair and not on the ward.
Might be worthwhile giving them a call or taking a trip down to physio to let them know you're there.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Gosh I hope they haven't forgotten about you lol!Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

I can't get down to the physio unit, this hospital is huge and it's a fair old walk to the end of the building to get there. To be honest I'm dreading the physio, it's always painful, so it's not something I really want to chase up!0

Has nobody been in to see you yet FP? I mean you are getting fed etc though?Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

Yeah I've got regular contact with the nurses, I've been fed and watered very well
No complaints on that side. Other than being bored, I have no complaints at all.

Just changed from zomorph to fentanyl patch @75, but having serious issues. I settled down with oral morphine, the other meds have not changed but I cannot sleep or feel like I am coming off the morphine with the dreaded DT's, is this normal, does it take a period of time for the two to cross over?0

I know! I had the best nights sleep I can ever remember. I actually woke up feeling pretty refreshed, I haven't felt that for over 5 years. It might have something to do with the extra dose of pain killer I took last night before bed, which I don't usually take. When I get home I will take it again at night and if it was that which helped me sleep I will talk to my GP about it and hopefully continue.
Now though I am back to my usual knackered self as I had hydrotherapy this morning. Other than being shattering it felt good to do some exercise for once, I wish I could feel like that every day. :j
As for being forgotten about, apparently the physio manager came to see me last night but I was asleep. I went to sleep about 9.30 - 10pm so that's a bit of a weird time to come and see me.
I've met my physiotherapist today and she seems really nice :T0
