I must apply for a blue badge myself - I get HRM DLA but try not to use cars - my son has his but I'd much rather manage myself with public transport for distance and my beloved trike for local shopping and errands. However, not being able to use a space due to lack of a badge has been a cowing nuisance once or twice.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I put in a claim for BB but was turned down and I don't know if I have the energy to appeal the decision. I only get LRM but that was awarded before my health deteriorated rapidly but I also get HRC and really don't want to rock the boat with DLA so to speak.2019 Wins

I know what you mean re rocking the boat, I got turned down for LRC. A few weeks later I was in Eldon Square shopping centre and a lovely lady advising on disability benefits at a information stall insisted she'd never heard of anyone getting HRM and not getting at least LRC. Well, no WAY was I risking my HRM, free bus pass, DPWTC and resultant free prescriptions etc etc etc... And yes, I am entitled to HRM, I manage with care.
