I fell over at work and landed heavily on my knee and bad wrist. Currently in a lot of pain
However, I have happy news. My friend and I have a pact to get our motorbike licenses, and today I passed my theory test! :jI have no balance so am not sure how practical this will be - I haven't even thought about going on a bike yet - but that's my first stop done.I'm having a long standing row with a lazy eejit who has personality disorder and won't get up till at least 10am cos 'he's not a morning person'. Like Hello if I don't get up at 6 I'm not ready to start the day @ 8.30. He also won't take menial jobs cos 'they made him ill years ago' - go figure. I'd be dead by now if I took that attitude!! Simply cos I would never venture into a supermarket!!!. Just cos (am only speaking about MH issues here) something made you sick years ago doesn't auto mean it's going to make you sick now. I woke him up @ 9am on Saturday. He wasn't happy. LOL..Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Re. the body temp thing - I have temperature dysregulation problems, too - for me it's part of EDS.
Eldest is permanently cold......middle son however has his own internal central heating system, most embarrassing when he was little as I would dress him for winter and he would then proceed to strip off naked at playgroup.
Even now, in the depth of winter, I can't get him to wear a coat, in the recent snow, he was outside wearing t shirt and jeans while making a snowman  , no amount of nagging from me would make him wear any more clothes at all. I will tell him he needs to put a coat on and his reply is always...but it is too hot mum.
If he does get too hot however, it sends him into meltdown and makes him extremely violent, almost like a fit, he just goes like a switch has been switched on and can't control it or remember it afterwards...for that reason, he has permission to only wear a shirt and not the blazer at school (they are supposed to wear the blazer at all times), even in the middle of winter when it is cold for everyone else, in the summer, they have a fan going on him all the time to keep him cool.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I was like that as a kid, and even in to teens, but when the fibromyalgia kicked in I started doing the extremes thing that someone was talking about. The first I noticed was that I was sweating profusely during summer, to the point where I would take a change of clothes with me if I was going to be out for most of the day.0 -

Sorry - was distracted by two cats trying to murderise one another in the kitchen [sigh].
Have rectified this oversight now!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I wonder if this temperature thing answers why a) I sleep with my legs stuck outside the duvet b) the windows are open all year round c) the boyfriend can't cuddle me at night because he gets too hot within seconds of being near me and d) the cat won't leave me alone in winter?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

Think I found you too FP...hope so as I liked you too!
Today has been a painful day, no idea why as I have taken it easy over the weekend but I just woke up (or got woken up) by not being able to move in bed...it was the pain of trying to move whilst asleep which woke me up.
The only thing I can think of is that I had to do some hand washing last night (my washing machine door smashed yesterday when youngest dropped a cup on it!) and was obviously stood up for that (although I had regular sit downs) for a time..apart from that, it has been pretty much a relaxing, non rushing about weekend. It wasn't a huge lot of washing, just some underwear and socks for the boys, it wasn't like I was lugging massive great armfuls or standing at the sink for hours.
As for temp control, I have always been a cold person, I completely freaked the nursing staff out when I had my hysterectomy as my temperature was so low so they took all the measures to increase it, only problem was, when they got it to 'normal', I was then completely overheated and they had to get the fans out to cool me down again! This has always been very handy in the summer, whilst everyone else is sweltering and keeling in the heat, I am absolutely fine...but in the winter, when everyone is just about ok, I am the one sitting in the corner freezing.
Edit - Not sure if the amitriptylene has anything to do with it, but I have found myself to be more 'normal' just recently...I even started to wonder if I was going through the change (hysterectomy removed womb and cervix not ovaries)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. Erme - Which PD does he have? I have Borderline Personality Disorder. Things can change in a few years. He won't know if they make him ill again if he doesn't try. Life is about risks. Why did he stop the DLA? Was he better? Or was it a PD thing to stop it?
I think it's borderline. He just takes advantage and splits hairs over minor stuff. He stopped the DLA cos he reckons he's so 'well' he doesn't need it yet now is moaning he has no money? Go figure .....
Like he's useless with money. Remortgaged the flat (can't recall why?) and then lowered his monthly payments so he could have more free cash. (this was when he was on DLA)...baring in mind he doesn't smoke I fail to understand that logic? My smokes cos almost as much as loan repayments yet I need them right now (the last quit smoking attempt ended with me completely spaced out and hearing voices ). He will get a £2.20 latte @ C and say he needs that? Well what about reducing the amount of times he goes out for that and subsituting it for places he can get a plain filtered coffee for £1. I've tried suggesting so many little things to him and he always has an excuse yet will chide me for buying my macbook when paranoid or not having a spotless house. He's just so set in his ways and I'm sure that's the PD...and least little bit of dysthymia will get him running to the medics. I had depression for years untreated - get over it!!!
Like with the coffees. I bought an espresso machine from Mr JL at xmas cos my old one (freebie) was dying a death...it's champion and was a which best buy and only about £50 (though if you want an espresso machine now I'd go for Argos signature line in the sale) and does me fine for espressos. Really quick and quiet with decent milk frother and like separate water thing you can take out. Okay so it doesn't do pods but hey ho I hate pods

I wasn't a morning person - I'm still not really. But a few years ago I got a job that had 8sm starts once a week, and gradually I got used to it. Now I do 6am  starts sometimes.
Precisely my point. I'm up normally @ around 6 weekdays to get everything done and get out to whatever I have to get out for for 8.30....Exactly. Takes me two hours to get woken up, breakfast, shower and bible read. Need it....Otherwise the day never starts..It's simple logic really..
So yeah...sprained my foot standing on a side table yesterday (it duly smashed) and then got another from B charity shop for £5 but now I have spotted a shortwave radio I want so have to phone the manager @ 9 and forgot to buy rat food for my boys so that'll have to be done....
Still umming and arghing about the windows. Thinking blinds of some description (cheap from Mr A) and like a big pole and some asian fabric (thinking 5 metres for room cos I want to put bows in the corners). Curtains have been up for 10 years. Made by moi and never washed...they have served me well
All cream paint is done. Ache like mad. Today (if I ever wake up LOL. Got high on the cream paint tee hee) is borders and sponging..I know it's like 90's but I like it... It's no worse than the borders about half way done and different colours on top to bottom. Sometimes that would look so tacky ...
Just taken co-codamol for ankle. It's fine. Went to A+E - it's not broken
