Managed to gain the energy to re-dye my hair my usual bright red. So, now I'm sat here with hair on my head...and my skin...but rather my skin than the bathroom.2019 Wins

Hello all -not posted for a while but its all been a bit hectic here.
OH was shifting some wood in the garden, tried to pick up something too heavy and hurt his back. Pain got so bad GP arranged ambulance to take him for xray...........waited 7 hrs for ambulance and even then he didn't get xray........was told it was muscular and sent home at midnight in a taxi.....I made complaint to the hospital and they're taking it seriously particularly as he got no better and GP came out, arranged xray at local hospital and turns out he's fractured two vertebra..... So, we're a bit like book ends at the minute........walking frame each plus sticks, he has crutches. Been a nightmare but weve muddled through. He's not as bad now as he was and sees fracture clinic next week and has bone scan in May. Fingers crossed it all goes ok.
Builder working next door who we know got hold of a second hand mobility scooter and brought it round this morning.............it's £80 and I've had a little practise run round the kitchen and managed it ok but find the thought of going into town a bit daunting to say the least. Not sure whether to have it or not.Seems too good to pass it up and at least I wouldn't have to rely on someone to push my wheelchair or drive me to the shops. Cleaner's been taking me to supermarket and I've managed to walk round with my sticks...........paid the price the following two days but I'm determined this will not beat me.
FP -well done with the wheelchair !:T
Lamewolf - you do well coping with dogs like that............much as I can do to handle our cats (plus next doors who seem to visit often......lol)
LadyMorticia - hair sounds great...........made me think I should re-vamp myself a bit..........avon catalogue came this morning and think its time I treated myself to some moisturiser, blusher (skin looks so bland) and nail varnish. So easy to slip into the ''slob'' mode and I must get out of it.
Hope everyone is ok:)
oops........sorry for long post:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Lovely colour, LM!
It's a beautiful day here. I'm glad, it means I don't have old-lady-hands today. (My shorthand for swollen, clawed and hurting! :P)Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -

I have paint all over the carpet ...and ratties going hyper with paint fumes. Ache like mad from shifting stuff (craft table and coffee table to be precise) and painting and to make matters worse I have to redo the back wall cos it's too thin before tomorrow (cos it's Sabbath and there's like NO WAY I can decorate on Sabbath without it being worse than it is now) and I'm supposed to be at some student bbq right now (free food) but am on here. The window is open and it's cold
Love the new hair. What's wrong with your temperature control? The only time I've had probs with that is when fasting. Pray you're not doin the sam trick
Blessings all. Meant to come on here sooner but was busy.....The bedroom is a no go zone...all my furniture is in there. Am sleeping in the hall for the next week. Just pray I can get to my scrap carpet (which I believe is buried somewhere) later on in week.
Now the next question is...
Curtains or no...Only time I draw my curtains is when the sun is bright....do I really need them or would netting and a nice piece of fabric draped do the job?

ladymorticia.............love the hair ......oh to have my youth back and do something like that............lol I'll have to become an ''eccentric old lady'' instead:)
Erme - if it were me I'd either get a really pretty piece of voile (or is that the new word for net ?) and go for drapes. Should look very stylish:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

You should have a rest. Don't over-do it.
Thanks.
My temperature control goes to two extremes - I'm either really cold or really hot and sometimes when the weather is cold, I'm hot and vice versa. There is no inbetween.:eek:summerof0763 wrote: »love the hair,i have bright red and blonde streaks.

My MIL was talking about dying her hair pink. She's 54 and was worried that it would draw attention to her weight. I said it wouldn't because the pink hair would draw attention to her pretty face instead.2019 Wins

Thats my RA hands and they are perminant, well my rhummi thinks that she will find the right drug to put it into remission (Ive tried three and one nearly killed me) but no drug can take away the boney changes and surgery to remove the clawing hasnt worked on my right hand.0
