As Trialia says, it is not at all unusual for eldest to dislocate his hips...usually they go back in ok, sometimes he can get it partially back and then have to whack it against something to get it back fully. He does have partial ones too which are usually painless afterwards.
Middle and youngest, I think they were partial ones which clunked back pretty quickly...causing lots of pain in youngest but not in middle son.
I have problems with my sciatic nerve being trapped when (what I now know to be) I had partial dislocations....I would swing my leg back and forth at speed (and in great pain) until it clunked back again.
Unfortunately, I can't swing my leg back and forth anymore to the right height to get it to clunk back.....still trying to discover a new method. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I can't quite believe it. To cut a long story short, I have been put in the ESA Support Group. This is amazing
I feel like my mind is running round the house screaming.

juno, I'm so sorry to hear that! I hate losing pets.
*hugs*
fp, congratulations! I'm happy for you!
For myself, I hate fatigue. Today's one of those days - you probably all know 'em here - when even thinking is an effort.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -
Juno I'm so sorry to hear about your bird. Feathered/furred friends are still friends imho, and it's so awful to lose one.:(
FP Congratulations! One less thing to worry about!
Trialia ooh yes, I know all about even thinking is an effort - like you're brain's trying to wade through treacle!
I have another dog-sitting booking - Dilly the Westie is coming back on Feb 28th for a week.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks guys.
My body is pretty broken today, and the excitement of opening the letters etc has now exhausted my brain too, but I still feel really calm and content inside and a weight has really lifted, one huge thing less to worry about. Hurrah!0 -
I requested assistance from OU for special arrangements in exams...may seem a small step to some but it was a huge (and very upsetting) one for me.
I don't believe myself to be disabled but the exam in October was an absolute nightmare as I just couldn't concentrate due to the pain of having to sit in their horrendous seats, the position I had to sit in and the travel and walking to get there.
I hate admitting that I may need extra help but I just could not adapt to the surroundings in the exam hall as I can at home (frequent breaks, study books propped up to the right level and angle with pillows etc).We made it!
