  • SingleSue - doctors can be so infuriating sometimes can't they!

Next time he's in hospital (and it sounds like that won't be long :( ) I think you should explain to the highest person you can find (the higher up, the more clout the GPs will give it) that told you not to go below X line and ask them to write a letter to the surgery you're with explaining exactly how critical they think it is, then the next time they try and fob you off you can tell them to refer to the letter.

I hope your night wasn't too exhausting.

The hospital has written to the GP's....unfortunately, the inexperienced doctor and the old family doctor did not read the notes properly.

The asthma nurse had, hence her instructions.....but when I was trying to tell the GP, he wasn't interested and said they had obviously overreacted in the past.

Not much sleep was had last night to be honest.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

  • That's a shame :( Perhaps a nap before picking the kids up from school?

Recently I have realised that I've sort of lost myself somewhere along the line, my sense of style and identity. I am now determined to get some of it back, first step = purple hair, I just bought the dye in town and my mum's going to do it for me tonight <3 I'm sure it will go some way to giving me my confidence back.

Hm. My heating says it's on, but it's flippin' freezing in here. I hope my carer arrives soon. I am supposed to be going out this afternoon, so have been saving spoons as best I can.

Sue, good luck with youngest! I hope nothing worse happens.

    NH, Mary, you're welcome :)

    Cold here too.....

Tried having a nap while he had a nap...it lasted all of about 15 minutes before my mobile rang "Do you want to reclaim PPI" "No, I bloody don't, now go away and leave me alone!"

Youngest is more himself today but peak flows still well below the line the nurse gave me.

SingleSue Uuurrggghhh, bloody cold callers! They ought to be shot!
I have 3 ringtones on my mobile; one for Mr LW, one for the dog-sitting service I'm a host for, and a third for everyone else. The first two get answered; all others get red-buttoned!:D If the landline rings, I leave the answering machine to deal with it.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hello all :j

sunnyone - I did ask occ.therapist about cushions but she said they don't supply them and gave me a website address .............very expensive it was and OH suggested the booster cushions. Might order two and see what they're like.

Cleaner came today and de-cluttered my little comp. room of all the 'stuff' that had accumulated since before christmas.............was going to clear it out myself till all this back trouble -still, done now. One big bag for charity shop and another for the bin. Least now it looks more like a room instead of a dumping ground.

Ordered some 'no rinse shampoo' and gave that a go this afternoon. Hair feels a lot better but not sure I towel dried it as thoroughly as I should have in parts..........starts to feel a bit sticky...........oh well, hairs got a nice shine now.

singlesue - hope you have a better night tonight...:)

    Hope you're all ok :)

Sue - please look after yourself too.

Apparently, I don't have a virus. They don't know what's wrong; but have been given something that is used to treat indigestion. (had similar stuff last time when I had the same issues)

I'm trying to.....but have just thrown up big time through stress. I never used to but now, any stress and I am sick.

It's going to be another night of no sleep through worrying and watching over him I fear.

I went to the doctors yesterday but wasn't able to get my usual GP. I got a new one and was a bit worried. But she was lovely and actually listened! And she asked me questions, which meant I remembered something important that I'd forgotten.

My favourite bird is poorly :( Last night I couldn't get him to settle so had to let him sleep in my room (he knows he's spoilt) and today he wants lots of hugs. His legs aren't working properly so he just sits in the corner of his cage looking grumpy.
