The (not so old) Crocks Cafe -Part 2

Outing went fine, though had to go to the later showing of the film. We saw The King's Speech - excellent, too. I highly recommend it
then Earth Spirit Imbolc celebration, which was beautiful, and trifle afterwards. I also ran into a fellow goth spoonie in the shopping centre, and made a new friend of her!
Lovely evening. And my headache seems to have gone, though I'm still itching from the morphine. I love it when days turn out good after starting lousy. Hope things pick up for the rest of thread-spoonies!Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -
Youngest still off school, currently bashed out on the sofa where he is catching up on some much needed sleep.
His peak flows are still depressed, in fact, I almost took him up to the hospital last night as they dropped a bit further and he started to struggle a little. Two lots of inhalers and it wasn't making any difference, so started running around like a headless chicken doing a bag up, waking eldest to ask him to watch middle son etc when he finally stabilised.
So, lack of sleep again...I'm bloody shattered, my body is stiff and in pain and I still have to clear the front room ready for the arrival of a new (to me, it's second hand from my new sister in law) sofa tomorrow. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Oh Sue plleeeeeeeeeeaassee look after yourself. I worry it will be you going in to hospital rather than your son because you'll work yourself to exhaustion, have a fall and break a bone. That wouldn't be good for any of you.0

I hope hes ok now Sue.
My son has bad ashma, does your son have a deformed rib cage due to the efforts of breating like my son has?0 -
Can't say I have actually noticed to be honest Sunnyone...he doesn't like to be undressed at the best of times, let alone someone looking at him while he is undressed.
Thanks FP, I am exhausted...can barely keep my eyes open here.
Have put a call in to the surgery, I was trying to contact his asthma nurse but she is away today so they are going to get the duty doctor to call back...only problem is that the duty doctor is also the doctor I don't like and who has had a tendancy to ignore vital symptoms/palm me off.We made it! His doctors would notice it every time they examined his chest Sue, its caused by the diaphram being too strong because it has to work so hard to breath, because of yours and mines family history of HMS I wondered if it was related?0 -
Ahh right.....eldest's is slightly deformed but then I don't think him grabbing ribs and pulling them about helps much!
Not sure when the last time they actually looked at youngest's chest...all they have seemed to have done is stick the stethoscope down or up his top without him removing it. Must admit, it doesn't look deformed to me but then I also thought it was completely normal to be able to wrap your legs around your head until a very short time ago or have fingers you could wrap over each other, so not sure I would notice anything different!
Peak flows are up this evening....ok, still on his danger line but an improvement on this morning, let's hope we are turning the corner. We made it!
