Had a quietish day today just pottering about after this mornings jobs.It's been raining since this afternoon off/on....started to pull weeds up in the garden this morning but didn't get much done as it makes my back hurt.

Have been a bit peed off the last couple of days so haven't posted.
Firstly,it was the anniversary of finding my lump on friday and was a little emotional
Saturday,I was reading some reviews on trip advisor when I came across a few posts about various long haul flights from Thomas cook either cancelled/reduced./rescheduled etc for the winter months...cut a long story short they are only flying fortnightly to Cayo Coco Cuba and I've booked and nearly finished paying for my 3 week holiday to this destination...of course TC haven't informed me of this fact!!!!...so off I go to my local TC shop who didn't know about the change in Cuba flights but knew about the dom rep changes...spent a while phoning operations dept and looking through system to find out what I was saying was correct..obviuosly on a 2 week schedule a 3 week holiday doesn't fit,they have also changed the day of the flights so am going to get my money back off them ...of course the dept to get the money back from isn't open until tomorrow...they are meant to do refunds etc in holiday date order and the lady from the agents is hoping to persuade them tomorrow to pull mine off the system and send her a fax to say she can refund me otherwise I've no idea how long it will take...to say I'm upset is an under statement as I was seriously looking forward to that holiday...we've decided to get something last minute so that nothing can go wrong.
Today,I've gone over my points as we took JJ to planet Kaos and had dinner...had italian chicken and chips which would've left me plenty of points for tea but chocolate fudge cake and ice cream attacked myself and DD1 so ended up with no points left for tea....so have had a salmon fillet with a warburton thin for tea putting me over points and will eat fruit later if desperate...hopefully won't effect my weight loss too much.

Coupled with peeing down most of the weekend...I've been really bored and the time has dragged.

So sorry to hear that your holiday isn'y going to happen. You never know you might be able to get to Cuba on a late deal. I got on the scales but they shrieked so loudly at me I jumped straight off again. Youi are doing well on the points system, I couldn't get my head round it after doing the other one.

Sorry to hear that Taxi, The winter is the high season as its away from the hurricaines so not sure why they change the flight schedules. Cant you go for 4 weeks instead and insist they cover the 4th week as compensation ?

So sorry to hear about the holiday - I know you were really looking forward to it. Once you get the funds back, it might be worth contacting the operators that use 'normal' airlines (I can never remember which ones are the Charter ones!). That way you get a three week break as you really wanted! I know it doesn't feel like it at the moment but sometimes, I feel that things like this happen so that something better can come along. I really do hope that is the case for you.

I cannot go for 4 weeks either as the system won't let them book that either..the reason for this is they don't want empty seats.
I cannot fly in on any other airline as TC have that airport to themselves and there are no other ways of getting there either...I either have to have 2 weeks or nothing...this will be the downfall of TC in this country...they no longer fly to DOM REP,JAMAICA,VARRADERO from this winter and cayo coco is going fortnightly(I guess that they are tied in as they are exclusive there)...they aim to be out of long haul by 2014 and have sent 3 new airbuses back that they had on lease..they are using an airline called Mint for some flights ..can't remember where that's to though....it's a real mess.

That is unbeilevable about the holiday, a lot of resorts and hotels are TC exclusive, I know they've pulled the premier class from the planes, thats an earner, as we pd £400 for the 2 of us for dom rep trip.

I know its not the same but have you tried First choice, their tied in Thomsons may be a long shot xx
