Congrats on the loss - wish I could say the same! You'll have to share some of your wisdom xxBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

:T Well done on the loss! :T
Fingers crossed also on the inserts doing the trick to ease your back - I can't believe you didn't think of it before! :rotfl: Now you mind you keep wearing them now! *wags finger at Taxi*
You've reminded me as well your mention of the dentist - I need to sort myself out an eye test apointment and a free contact lens trial at Boots - it's years since I haven't had a company paying for my eye test so the £5.00 Boots one seems to be the best idea! If I can get the contact lens trial as well that means a) I can get some lenses for nothing and b) I can double check exactly what my lens prescription needs to be now! Annoyingly though I can't find any reference to the free trials on their website - I hope they've not finished doing them.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

EH - any optician should give you a 7 day trial as they are supposed to check you again incase you have a reaction or problem, Tesco's opticians are good as well for contact lenses. One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.

think it's being in the right frame of mind and just tracking every single thing.no point being half heated about it as it won't work.0 -

still not worn my trainers yet as need somebody in to fasten them for me.
oddly my back is a little better this week ..it has cracked slightly a few times so perhaps the swelling is going down...whatever it is i'm greatful for the relief.

A lot expect you to take on a monthly contract for lenses after that though Me - I want to be able to continue with buying the lenses online as I have been, just feel it is about time I had a change of prescription. I only buy a few boxes a year - I wear them all the time when we are on holiday and a lot of the time at the beer festival too as it's easier than getting glasses spattered with beer when we are venting casks and that sort of thing! :rotfl: I would like to go back to wearing them more often, and now I'm not sitting at a desk 5 days a week that might actually be achievable. Boots £5 sight tests are about the best I have seen value-wise too I think. I was looking at Tesco last night oddly enough - but their lens prices seem a little more expensive than Vision Direct, who I have been using.have just walked to the corner shop and back so am proud of myself...lol

Yay! :T Well done Taxi - and very glad also to hear that your back is better than it has been. I wonder if in part it might simply be a reaction to going from spending a lot of the time sitting or lying down resting, to spending more time on your feet now that you are able to? If so, it's logical that it will gradually start to improve as your body starts coping with the change better. Whatever the reason, fingers crossed that the improvement continues in any case.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

i think it's a combination of a lot of things to be honest....my weight, not wearing my inserts, lack of activity and movement and after effects of chemo and radio.
I will just need to be patient and build up very slowly.0 -

can't look at it any other way really it's a very fine line before I'm back in serious pain.Am thinking of going to the gym in a couple of weeks as the jacuzzi would be lovely on my back and i can do a little swimming in the pool. Then build up from there.0
