    Hi Taxi and all

Swimming is the way to go - be prepared to be worn out by it though LOL - I managed half a width after my op and built it up slowly - it absolutely wore me out - just being in the Jaccuzzi was bliss and I felt as if I'd done a full work out after it. I got a bit weepy too after my 1st length - crazy the things I (we all) get worked up about - when I first realised I had the stoma - my 1st thoughts were 'how can I swim with that???!!!' Stoma nurse was fab and insisted she'd have me swimming again - I didn't believe her but she did have me swimming - along with stoma :) The thing is I only ever went once in a blue moon pre-surgery - so WHY was that the foremost thought in my mind - but working up to it kept me going LOL

Fantastic news on the weight loss too......and good news from the hospital - everything is going in the right direction.

Spring is just around the corner - always a boost to the system. Are you planting a few seeds this year Taxi - I've got a pack of cherry tomaotes that can be grown in containers for starters - just need some compost. It really has that feel good factor watching the shoots come through. My trouble is keeping on top of the watering once they are growing - I lost the lot last year - must do better this year!!!

Morning all...decided not to walk to office yesterday as I'd decided to go and visit a friend a couple of miles away.I drove to the office spoke to a couple of the lads and the operators over to little Tesco to pick something up then on to my mates house armed with the really big box of chocolates that DS bought for my birthday. We had a good catch up which felt great. Also the temptation to eat the chocs had gone so win win for me.

Managed to do a few jobs yesterday in the house
    washed pots and put away
    washing/drying x 2
    sorted some paperwork

JJ came round last night ..so was lovely to see him and between him and DD2 they polished off the other chocs. The dog and him were playing bubbles....JJ blows them and Tess catches them..it's hilarious to watch...and JJ is in hysterics.

    Today I need to

    Do the banking
shred paperwork...have got a huge bagful to do
    check online bank accounts
potter about the house and do what I have energy to do...there's a lot needs doing

Am looking forward to doing some exercise but not quite there yet.I'm not a very good swimmer but it's about the best exercise to do at the moment.I love Pilates but can't get up/down off the floor at the moment.

I will be planting bits later in the season as the friend I went to yesterday has grown me tomatoes and onions and I'll do some other bits as well but will get in better swing next year.

Am hoping to buy a little patio table and chairs for the garden this year..the garden yard is quite small but it will be nice to sit out there in the summer.

My new house only has a patio (and a balcony) so I too will be doing pots and a patio table this year.....making the most of the space that I have, but hopefully without the maintenance of the garden I had before.

I just hope that there is enough sunshine late in the day this summer for me to enjoy sitting out there with a glass of something after work

    Enjoy your pottering!

Breakfast sounds good Taxi - I tried hard to be good having peppers stuffed with quorn, mushrooms, onion and tomato served with rice - I was soo full after it and it was quite tasty (not my fave thing quorn!!) Then I heard dh pottering in kitchen - he came in smiling and when I asked what he was doing told me 'surprise!!' - a bit later he re-appeared with apple sponge and custard he'd made - a shame to let the apple go off he said - true mse style of course - it was delish but not very diet friendly I'm afraid!!!!! I'm sure he's fattening me up so he wins our little weight loss wager LOL
