Have sent another pm re tabs - long shot but may help.
I know how you feel, like at the weekend, were at birmingham Sat for a tutorial, only about 3 min walk from car park to the centre, I was ok on the way there, coming back, after 3 hrs, (thou we did have a cofffee break), walking back to the car - my back and legs felt like I was walking a marathon. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Taxi - It won't help the pain being there, but I am doing a course in mindfulness at the moment. I am finding it useful as it makes a person concentrate on the now, rather than the past or the future. The week before last we did a pleasant events calendar where we identified one good thing a day and how we felt. I think this week I should have been identifying an unpleasant event a day (but I have been ultra busy and full of snot). I will catch up before I go to class tomorrow, by thinking of an event for each day of the last week.
We also have to to gentle yoga, which may be something that you will find useful.
If you want more info just Pm me and I will send you more details.

I am definitely into more natural healing and am hoping to do accupuncture.
I would love to do yoga but can't get up and down off the floor same with pilates.0 -
Just wondering if I'm asking the impossible...I don't need anything to get me to sleep but need something to ease the pain so that I can walk more or do more...perhaps it'll just happen when I lose loads of weight.
I have arthritis but cant have anti inflamatories due to anaphylactic shock from naproxen...so no aspirin, ibuprofen etc etc.
Depends why you react so badly. Aspirin etc are all the same family: Propionic acid derivatives.
Diclofenac is in a different family - acetic acid derivatives.
There's many other families of anti-inflamatories.

Sorry that you didn't get on with the tablets - I was given the same things for my neck pain after my car accident, but they just made me feel hungover all the time, which didn't exactly help my productivity at work. and they didn't help with the pain, or help me to sleep either - bloomin useless.
I ended up with diclofenic too, along with diazepam and codeine phosphate - the combination of the three were the only thing that helped, and without the "hungover" element to it too.
It is just a case of finding the right combination for you - and I am sure your GP will help you do that this week - good luck with it all xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. aww sorry to hear that youve been in pain and feeling carp. Totally understandable though. Your body has gone through a battering so physically you need to recoup but then thats frustrating maybe cos you feel you should just bounce back? Go gentle on yourself me lovely; will take a while to find the new you - I dont think anyone goes through sommat like that without changing and it takes a while to fit in the new you. Why not give the cleaner a go? Seriously embrace the debtfreeness and get someone else to do it for you so you can expend your energy into rediscovering the brand spanking new taxi (although not sure what DH would think of the spanking!!). Are there any support groups near you? I cant imagine what its like but know that people get a great deal from talking to others who have been through the same...If there is anything I can do just let me know! Weights a bummer isnt it...my wii is taunting me and i darent go near the scales! Just about to enjoy a day doing nothing but watch anne of green gables! total slob me!! Huge hugs for you...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

This is horrendous for you Taxi! And there's two other people right here - Z and Hypno - that we know and trust who've had the same experience! Thats really not acceptable. Hassling doc is the order of the day, absolutely. I agree about the acupuncture - I think there's a lot of research been done about that in relation to pain relief. And what NorthernLas has said about the mindfulness practice - mindfulness started at a pain clinic in New England, and included both cancer patients and people who'd had amputations after car crashes and so on - and all of the original groups of people who went through the mindfulness practice had found other forms of relief ineffective, thats why their doctors had recommended them. The bloke who originally got it going was called Jon Kabat-Zinn - and one of the things that made it work was for the *doctors* to learn mindfulness first! Amazing bloke, who's done a lot of original thinking.
I hope you find something soon - I know what arthritis pain is like, and with everything else you've got going on, there's so much relief you need so you can get going ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
