  • Hi Taxi,
I'm glad the Doctor gave you some tablets and I hope they work. You seem to have a lot of stuff to sort out, good luck with that. The way i do mine is one or two a day start one new piece in the morning then afternoon finish off from the day before, eg photocopy or post a letter.
I have also got my gas and elec deal coming to an end this month at present with scottish power, Ive had a look and i am comfused about 5 reasonable options. i spoke to SP and got my gas & ele Khw & cash amounts for the year so i could compare. Sp have a deal i can go on and it will reduced my dd by £27 a month, I havn't decided yet but this is my easy option for the moment. You may want to see what your supplier can offer first. If you do change have a look via quidco.

Well done on getting your sliver star.

    Hi Taxi,

hope your back pain is easing up a bit ... contstant pain is just so wearing, really drains energy etc. Definitely try out some acupuncture, have a rellie who is a practitioner, sadly a long way from you or I would pass on her details. Have you heard of Zero Balancing ? Might be worth investigating as well.

    Take care of yourself lovely

Really pleased the doc could recommend something - just wondering would a tens machine be compatable with the treatments you have already had. Hope you don't have too long to wait for the referral to the pain clinic - did he mention councilling at all? You seem to have a good GP - worth their weight in gold.

Well done on the weight loss - ww certainly sounds a lot different now.

How is JJ enjoying his wii - got mine out again last week and it AGED me nearly 10 years - let battle commence - I am only doing the fitness test where you weigh weekly though and doing the games when I can.

    Hi everyone...
Went to DRs and was given Amitriptyline..I have to take 2 at night and go back in 2 weeks to let him know if they work.I asked him to refer me to pain management as well so he's doing that...I want to try accupunctureor something more natural.

That sounds brilliant step forward, at least pain mgt will at all options, and short term if the amitriptyline kick in soon and get you to get a good ngts sleep.
He thinks the pain is neuropathy brought on by chemo and radiation.
I need something that will ease the pain so that at least I can have a walk...am hoping this will help with the weight loss which will help with the pain..it's a vicious circle ...
Know that feeling, but the positive is your being really pro-active about the situation,
I also bought some heat pads and have one of those on at the moment..hope that does something but you put them over clothes so might as well have used a hot water bottle.I had to buy the ones with no anti inflammatories in as I can't use them.

This month needs to be a paperwork month...I need to

    (1) Fill in the medical questionairre for the ESA ...it's pages long
    (2) Bring the accounts back up to date...mid oct -feb
    (3) Get a passport form and fill it in and send it off for DHs passport.
    (4) Arrange travel insurance
    (5) Sort and file lots of paper that is hanging around here
    (6) Look into new gas and electric deal as mine is coming to end at end of month...confused as looked last night and EDF and EON were the cheapest but they are putting their prices up over the next few days so don't really know.

that's quite a list to get through but most needs to be done this month..

ah don't fancy the sound of those lists, think everyone wants you to be busy, you take care, and do as much or as little as you can,. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Unfortunately a tens machine doesn't touch it...I have one at home but the pain is totally in my bones IYSWIM.

Believe it or not I've not seen this DR in the practice before but I do see a few of them...Iwent in with the attitude that the pain is !!!!ing me off and I need it sorting.

JJ loves his Wii...he's only 6 and has broken all the levels on all his games...he beats all the adults...it's all sports ones he does.
Not been on mine for ages..lol
