Well you could have been offered CBT instead. Think happy thoughts and things will hurt less - or so the theory goes...

Ah that was the idea behind the course I went to 3 out of 6 to - I had to stop because I was in too much pain after the session that I did nothing for the rest of the week (indeed after the last one I went to it took me from Tuesday 25th January until today to actually DO anything because of the pain!)

I knew there was a reason we kept playing :rotfl:, but somehow I think that is wishful thinking :o

  • I totally agree with what everyone is saying Taxi- i have taken diclofenic in the past and i know there is another newer version available..can't think what it is called but it is stronger and better for you ( My DD1 was prescribed it for her arthritis, so i will ask) Have you been given the gel version to use directly on your back? That is also good and i use it on my knee when it gets really bad.

Hugs for all of you going through it at the mo. xx

Yes, I thought it was complete drivel as well. The fact I kept looking in his bag for his duck, didn't actually mean I was depressed...

That's what they all say. But at least one "treatment" for chronic fatigue is said by 90% of the patients to make them worse or is of no benefit, but they docs still push for it.

Graded exercise. Which, unless you can predict the future with reliability and precision, tends to invoke the over-stretch and crash cycle.

You will have to stop before you feel the symptoms of tiredness. How do you know when you're going to get tired? Perhaps the Force will be strong that day...

Honestly, I found the whole concept a bit like putting a blindfold on someone running around at Beachy Head, and telling them to stop before they fell over the cliff.

  • Gah! Sorry the tablets are rubbish and hope they find the right combination for you very, very soon. I'd have hoped, in your position, that they'd be bringing out the good stuff already  Hope you make a dent in your list - at least your brain's exercising. I found that doing the accounts, which I have always loathed in the past, is helping with my concentration and because I break it down I get more things to cross off my list :p x
