    Hi Pania,
Wanted to delurk to say that I am sorry that this week has been hard for you. I understand how you are feeling. Grief comes over a person when least expected but is harder when its an anniversary. I am sorry that the family decided to have a service just for them. Perhaps it was the only way that they could cope with it. Maybe you and a few friends could pick a special day (maybe the anniversary of day when you all did something good together) and have your own little ceremony. After all, you remember him every day of your life so picking a special day seperate from the anniversary of his passing or his birthday will be just as valid.

I am intrigued by your signature, how do I find out more about your mad challenges? Isn't it great to have money left on payday, maybe you could treat yourself to a little something that will lift your spirits somewhat.

Hi P, just having a catch up, sorry to hear that you have had such a hard week. Your training sounds like it is going well though. How long until the first of your challenges? xx

hi guys and thanks for the interest in my challenges!!! the first one is in January and is a half marathon all around the coastal paths and cliffs of anglesea!! puff pant!! swiftly followed by a second half marathon coastal challenge in feb, london to paris cycle ride in march, london marathon april edinburgh marathon may london triathalon june three peaks challenge july cost to coast cycle (abersytwyth to lowestoft) august. london to brighton ultra marathon (56 miles!!!!) september royal marines commando 10k october (sounds easy, soooo isnt!) yorkshire three peaks november and everst base camp trek december!! all in aid of help for heroes in memory of duncan and children with leaukaemia for my cousin who is currently terminal. its going to be flipping hard work but it is driving me forward so much and the nearer the time is getting the more excited i am getting about it. However I need to get the money together for the entry fees which to be fair isnt going too bad. the aim being that I will pay to enter all the events (and everest) myself and then all the sponsor money can go directly to the charities and not pay for me to do the events!!
I am hopefully going to do most of the events with sammy and hypno is joining me for the london and edinburgh marathons. I am keeping fingers crossed that duncs other half will come to everest. that will be completely in his memory as it was his lifelong ambition to get there and summit.
I will be restarting a blog on the womens fitness website shortly who have agreed to feature the blog and also to do an article on the challenges half way through the year (if i am still alive by then!!! I have press lined up with several local radio stations and newspapers and hopefully some press in kent for when we pass through on the cycle ride. The training needs to get going in earnest as 56 miles on foot is gonna hurt no two ways about it!! :D
Hope that gives you a little more info and also gives me a channel for my memories that they will be positive rather than painful and a massive acheivement if i complete it!!!!! then, my challenge for 2012. sit on the sofa and get lazy and fat!!! :rotfl: . xxx

:eek:Wow,amazing, I really admire you. Have you organised each of these yourself or is it part of a bigger challenge?
I am near Aberystwyth so if you let me know the dates I will come along and cheer you on. If there is anything I can do to help raise the profile (eg local papers etc) then let me know and I will see what I can sort out. My dad was in the royal marine reserves ( he was the oldest man ever to gain his green beret) so I know how tough that one will be. I have registered for the London Marathon:eek: (it was an accident, dont ask) but not even started to do any training yet. I am hoping that I don't make it through the selections. Panic if I do because I am sooooo unfit. How long and how much training are you having to do for all of these. Patrick Kielty just drank guiness for the sports relief Lands End to John OGroats cycle ride so I figured whats good enough for him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
