I have ordered 6 for Tuesday delivery, but dont expect to get them as my local store is OOS. Surely they should sub with a similar champagne? as per their policy?

Tried in Perth, the manager came up to me and told me they are removing it from sale due to the licencing act(2005) they cannot change the price below cost of duty + VAT and therefore he would be breaking the law if he did...load of tosh! it comes up as 4.97 at tills and minimum duty+vat is 1.99 as I have friend who works there found out for me...dont know what to do!

Oh, that's a tough one, especially if it was definitely the manager. Sounds like an odd excuse alright. No other stores local to you, you could try? Maybe if you are keen to buy, call back up and ask to speak to him again and ask him to confirm he definitely has it right?

this was in the news this week, also having a floor price on the minimum price for booze items

This is NOT a glitch! i ordered 10 yesterday but then cancelled as it said you would be charged on instore price! However today went to my local asda (shrewsbury) and the sign said rollback £4.97!!! Out of stock though!!! so ive just ordered 10 online tonight for tomorrow delivery so we'll see what happens!:beer:

Has anybody actually heard of this brand or tasted it before?? It's not g oing to be a good buy if it'sonly fit for putting on your chips.

I was reading some reviews. Don't think it is the greatest, although doubt many would expect this, but apparently it is good as a value champagne. A site said Threshers had it for around the £9.99/14.99 mark and it was a very good buy at the lower price range but not to pay high prices for it.
