Why do adults have to eat around supermarkets?

Went shopping to Morrisons last night ( with my £5 Sun newspaper coupon - very MSE :D ).

Was astounded to see a grown man select a packet of biscuits off the shelf, opened them eat several then put them in his trolley!!

Is the need for food this great? :rotfl:

can understand more if it was a young child who was shopping near dinner time but sorry don't get why adults need to do this .......!

Rant over:eek:

Well shopping on a full stomach (or at least when you're not hungry) means you are less prone to impulse buying and will buy what you need rather than what you think sounds good at the time.

So i suppose you could say its for scientific purposes :rotfl:

Well, at least he is going to pay for them! Some people eat stuff then put the empty packets back on the shelf.

I have seen people buy those trays of dips, you know the ones that have four different flavours each in there own little segment. Peel back the lid and walk around the shop happily dipping crisps and biscuits whilst they shop. It never bothered me if i was on the shop floor but did get annoying if I had the misfortune of being on checkouts because the open items would leave crumbs or sauce etc on the belt and scanner. I hated cleaning up after people had left hafl eatten food on the belt.

We also found lots of people would eat the good and then place the empty packet back on the shelf some where, there are some right cheeky sods about.

Maybe he'd been at work all day and unable to stop for lunch, had stayed late and was on his way home .... at least he didn't put the packet back on the shelf :)

Maybe the standards in society are slipping...
I mean eating in supermarkets, pajama parties. Whats next. booze parties.

Were will the line be drawn?

    Food for thought lol
  • The ones that annoy me the most are, not only those that eat something and then put the packet back, but those that eat things like grapes which you pay for in weight, so by the time they get to the checkout they have half the bunch left!!....samer with pick and mix!!! Why dont people see it as theft

Yes agree maybe the man i saw was hoping he would only be charged for half a packet of biscuits:rotfl:
  • it is theft.... its like driving out of a car show room with a nice new car and not paying or telling any one your doing it.... pulling up 2 hrs later and saying I will take it.

I have a feeling the police may have something to say about it
