  • goodness me, i cant believe the prices! Around £800 is way too much.

Every year we use rentacarspain and this year for the same dates its £185 with unlimited mileage and two additional drivers etc.

Think i might stick with them!

Or am i just getting the wrong end of the stick? lol

    OK here goes....

18/10/2011 through Europcar Seat Alhambra for £547.87
through Holidayautos Renault Scenic for £251.95

Anyone know if this would be honoured? Are holidayautos ok to use?

    £178 with rentacarspain

that is really cheap, thanks for taking the time to look at it. I assume easyjet/europcar wouldn't match this with their double the price difference thing.

Have you used rentacarspain - are they any good?

    Thanks again.

You may well struggle with this as the Alhambra is a full size MPV, whereas the scenic is at it's largest a 7 seater with no boot as the last 2 seat pop out the floor, so is a Mini MPV, and techinically the scenic is only a 5 seater, its the grand scenic that is a seven.

Two completely different size cars, so you may well struggle, if it was me at the hire shop (and have worked in one) I would not allow it.

Afraid I would never book with Europcar, they ripped us off to the tune of over £300 last summer. Looking on the web, plenty of other people seem to have had similar experiences. Let's be careful out there!

I've used Europcar many times over the past 15 years and never had an issue - how did they rip you off?

No they won't because Holidayautos are are broker and not a rental company. Holiday autos are fine - I always use them or Autoeurope - they are both brokers who use major companies such as Europcar, Hertz etc, so you get the same car, but cheaper. A word of warning though - book by phone and ask which company they are booking you with - the cheap prices are for lesser known companies - ask for a booking with the major companies.
  • thanks to everyone for their help, rentacarspain seems to be far and away the cheapest. However, will wait and see what europcar/easyjet reply as have sent them an email.
