Pondsaver - lovely, I dont mind them either but not sure I would want to deal with a nest full.

Lynz - that really is clean! When my mum and my MIL saw the EA pictures of our house they didnt believe it was ours....:o I was looking through some photos the other day and in the back of them all is a pile of junk or a hotspot mess. I am determined that the new house will be different.

Piixxysue - mine decided 5.15am was good despite me putting them to bed two hours later than usual - they were begging to go for an hour before, mean mummy . Just have to force them into new routine, small comfort at stupid times in the morning. How old are yours? Mine are 2 and 3.

Hello to all the new people, don't just lurk, come and join in. Amazing how fast you can get and keep things straight if you really want to, and the support on here makes a huge difference - for me anyway.:T

Survey is booked for Wednesday am, so a good general clean today, a few bits of sanding and a top coat of paint were a very annoying man scratched the woodwork with his car keys as part of his viewing

Just thought I'd mention i was doing the master bedroom yesterday cleaning all slat blinds and I found a weird mass of red stuff all wrapped in cobweb with a spider there too - so i poked it with the end a a coat hanger it was wrapped pretty tight and it exploded and lots of little eggs came out and the spider went crazy so I caught it and threw it out the window and cleaned up all the cobweb and mess.

Erggghhh glad I did it all then as I guess it was a spiders nest with eggs in it. i am not against spiders as they get rid of yucky flies but to have thousands of them crawling in my bedroom is not my best idea of fun!!

Where on earth did that come from

tell us how did you get rid??

    Hi

I was on here at the beginning - about 22 pages ago! But haven't been back much since...

    but....

I have been getting myself organised, have put my daily routines in my home organiser file, sorted out my own personal version of the zones,
... and on the whole, have even been doing them!
I put all the information on my computer diary (microsoft works) so that it comes up on the screen & lets me know what zone it is this week etc.

I can't say I have stuck rigidly to it, sometimes other things have cropped up. But on the whole I am getting there! And the house doesn't look as bad as it did.
DS's homeschool stuff & warhammer painting stuff is all over the place, but is easy to get out of sight now that there is space for it all!

Other things I have done included getting my wardrobe a bit more organised, and putting summer dresses etc away. And when it was time to do the front hall, I also cleaned all the shoes - some of them really needed it! And have made a place in everybody's wardrobe for extra shoes, so I now just have 1 pair each on the rack by the front door, plus a container for hats, gloves etc.

There's a long way to go, but it is sooooo much easier just doing a little bit at a time rather than trying to do it all in one day & getting disheartened & giving up and ultimately getting nothing done.

Once I had disturbed the mess with the coathanger I luckly has my hands covered in odd socks (bless) so just wiped them up gagging at the time and ran out to the outside bin I then cleaned the whole area again with my stardrops and microfibre cloth!! (I do listen (or read Whatever) saved loads on my cleaning materials the last couple of months)

BTW your flat looks amazing. We are looking to go on the market in the new year - do you hire yourself out!!! HE He he

pondsaver- dont tempt me- I will happily hire myself out :) I know this sounds a bit sad but Ive really enjoyed this cleaning and tidying. And I feel at a bit of a loss now

I can clean, house doctor, get the spare stuff on ebay, take parcels and home bake a cake/pudding and dinner on the table AND keep up my increasing post count on here :p . I wonder if theres a market for it? LOL

    Your place looks amazing lynz!

    Frankly, I don't believe you have a scary-can't-open-the-doors wardrobe.

Did you say that just to make me feel better?
