Meeting dragged on for aaages and I got back just as parents turned up with DD's they had been looking after whilst I was in meeting - they had taken them out to local park and DD1 had had 2 nosebleeds and been sick!

evening!
you had me laughing alot earlier - but i did follow your 'online cooking lesson' with great interest. - if the outcome of that crispy duck is any good i might attempt it too :cool:
not done much today- but i am just so tired!
kitchen is clean though and d/w is ready to get going in a minute.
loads of washing done too and will take the folded one upstairs once i go to bed (in a minute!)
toys are all off the floor; and ds is prepared for 'trick and treating'
meals are planned for the week and shopping done today
and that's about it
will have to sit down tomorrow and come up with a 'list' of things to do i normally avoid to do .. maybe that'll help ...
probably a newbie question: what's star drops??I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -

morning everyone!
thanks pollybear! now i know the pros and cons of stardrops and if it actually exists or not- but i haven't seen it anywhere so far ... so i have to look out for it under every stone now :rolleyes:
anywho
first a big mug of :coffee: for who needs one and of course a :grouphug:
haven't done anything yet - ds sneaked into my bed at 5.20 and i somehow managed to keep him quiet(ish) for another 30min - with lots of shuffling around of course :cool:
so we are up now but not dressed, bed not made ... nothing as i said
will wait till dd wakes (any minute really) and start the day then!
nothing planned for today.
not sure what to put on my to-do-list yet.
so current to-do-list:
- think about what to do today
- stardrops hunt
SuI have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
morning all
Wow these clck changes have really affected me too- woke at 5 (WHY??)
todays list involves
put all dry washing away
update CV DONE
phone 3 agencies & forward cv
download some program the techie board recommends
start foe app
must phone houseing association to discuss rent issues when seliing DONE
phone EA & tel them to add about the car issue. DONE
possibly go food shopping, but would quite like to string it out for a couple more days for moneysaving. NOT DOING
Aside from that, not a lot.
Susi - if you are starting with duck- just do the legs- way cheaper & takes way less time to cook :cool:
Happy flying to all:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Morning all flyers,
Thanks to all for the kind welcome, you are a great bunch.
Well I for one am chuffed with the amount of stuff i got done yesterday. It may not seem much to regular flyers but it all got done in such a calm organised manner rather than the usual feeling i have of trying to do ten things at once and not achieving any of them , all the time thinking i also need to get xy&z done!
Thanks for all the motivation and inspiration. :T:beer:
So here is what i got done:
3x bedrooms, beds made, floors swept, clean clothes put away,
Spare bed linen-washed dried and ironed.
Hoovered downstairs.
Dinner cooked and cleaned up after.
Playroom sorted and tidied.
Also had unexpected visitors for about an hour and a half.
Sorted spme space in garage for a freezer, kindly donated by my sister as she dosent need it at the moment.
TV in car boot to be taken to tip.
Charity stuff sorted and in car.
Curtain pole up in sitting room and curtain hung.
And all the usual kiddy stuff, feed, play bathed etc.
So today's plan is:
Get kiddies washed and dressed. Done
Clean kitchen after breakfast.Done
White wash load.Done
Empty DW.Done
Clean out freezer and plug in. Try to put everything back in around it.Done
Tidy spare room.ish
make up the bed in spare room.Done
Contact hairdresser to make appointment.
Contact Dr's re letter.
Tv to tip.Done
Charity stuff to charity shop.
Right better go and make a start, but can anyone tell me why my screen looks funny today, i have no avatars, no thanks or quote buttons, no new thread button and the strio at the top where Martin usually is, is blank.
Can't even ask on the techie board as i cant start a new thread!!
Thanks

Tuesday:
[STRIKE]Work;
Bank;
Pay some car stuff (and find out why OH isn't listed on their website??);
Decobweb inside house (got a new duster today )
Fold laundry;[/STRIKE]
Start the next load of laundry and hang on airer; Laundry is washed - just needs to be hung up!
[STRIKE]Run DW and empty[/STRIKE].
Woohoo - just about achieved everything planned for today :j
AND . . . did something I was meant to do in last weeks zone - Gathered curtains in bedroom. They were just hanging there ungathred LOL. Looked a little strange.
Have also got the books up to date. That was a must as we start a new business tomorrow . . .
Watered my new garden . . .
Wednesday::
Work - quite a bit to do tomorrow because today is the end of the financial year for work - so I'll have stocktake to add up, etc etc;
Roast chook for dinner (wouldn't dare attempt a duck!!);
Sweep floors;
Laundry as per usual;
Water garden.
Would LOVE to clean outside windows, but there is so much dirt around and it's so windy that it's not really worth it.
Have a great day, everyone.If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -

DeniseNZ - go, go, go:D
Apologies to any I have missed
THIS AINT FLYING, BUT........
Ok - so I've got this duck. i had a look and found loads on here about how to do it (peking duck/aromatic duck/crispy duck/aromatic crispy duck/edd the duck). i really should have written one down and used it, cos I think I've taken an amalgamation of all of them:o
Sooo - took out me bits and bobs - including the fat from inside:D - then went at it like Norman Bates in a bathroom. Put it in a colander and poured a kettle full of water over it. Then I refilled the kettle and boiled the water:o and did it again. Left it for a while. Made up a rub of 5 spice(scary, sporty and the others), pepper, salt and cumin and whacked it all over. Now, I know by rights I should hang it somewhere to ward off evil spirits, but it would just turn into a cat toy and be already shredded when I got home, so I've put it back in the fridge
The plan is that I get home and roast the beast, constantly draining the fat off. Right or wrong?
Back on topic - did 2 DW and a WM and cheated on dinner last night.:T Also did rest of ironing for school/work clothes:D
and we lost to Man City........
Keep going - I'll let you know what it tasted like tomorrow:D
-FlyBoy-:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0
