Aaaargghh! My laptop died yesterday, so I'm using my office one (which I brought home to do some w*** on, so need to do that today). It won't charge. I've had it about a year, so hoping it's still under warranty. Have also phoned a repair chap who lives nearby, so he'll get back to me later.
So, I don't have my "Master List" of jobs (it's on my laptop!!). So making it up: jobs for today:
Finish w*** notes
Laptop repair mnan
Carve pumpkin
Finish DS's packing for school residential trip
Empty children's bags from weekend
Clear dining room
Ring sister
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning all, following on from Lynzpowers invite on the half term challenge thread i have decided to be brave and join in...
I have a couple of reasons for doing this now,
1) I spend far too much time on this site lurking that i dont actually get much done.
2)I spend far too little time with my two children. If housework is under control and a bit more structured i may not feel that it all has to be done all the time.
3)I struggle to start and finish anything in the same hour as i have two little ones and they are always stuck in whatever i am doing. I really think if i have some structure to it all then i wont feel like i am constantly chasing my tail and never achieving all i want to.eg i dont need to worry about X room today as that is for next week.
4) I have a friend coming to stay on Saturday and would like to get the house a bit more presentable before she arrives. As it turns out i was pleasantly surprised as i went around the house over the weekend and realised that there isnt as much to be done as i thought. I moved into this house in July and was lucky enough to get most of it unpacked before we actually moved in so that helped. I started flying a bit around this time last year, and some of the principles have obvioulsy stcuk!!:T
So this week on top of all the usual daily stuff, i need to:
Clean fridge.
Go through kitchen cupborads and bin, clean and tidy as necessary.
De cobweb everywhere.
Tidy utility area.
Wash, dry, iron, and remake guest bed.
Sort out the few bits strewn in the spare room.
Put pictures up in the sitting room.
Put curtain pole up in the sitting room.
Hang curtains.
Take broken TV to tip.
Sort paperwork (which in itself will probably add lots of jobs to my list.)
Find all library books and return.
Attack playroom before it attacks me!!(Yes it is that bad:eek:)
Unpack that last box under the stairs.
Menu plan and shop accordingly.
Make 2 loaves for my mam, and bring around to her.
Decide and buy a birthday present for OH (any ideas gratefully accepted)
Well it think that enough for now, will probably have to add more as it goes. Might have to start with a cuppa though......:o
Happy flying to all.

Ah bless ya Lynz, that list isn't for one day, its for the week!!
If i achieve it all in the week i will be pleased, if i achieved it in one day, well...think i'd be in hospital.:rotfl:0 -
I have been peeking at your thread for a month or so now and have gone through the flylady's baby steps not too ridgedly though and I have her emails although I have changed to the daily digest as you sure do get a lot through don't you.
I now get dressed to shoes in the morning and do a load of washing a day , I try my best with the sink and am getting there and i do do her daily tasks all be it sometimes a day behind as the email might not come through until late.
I thought I might join in with you guys to motivate me into doing rather than just reading I spend too much time on this website - its fab!!
I work full time although I am tring to cut my hours down soon as OH is going to 9-5 so can no longer pick up from school as he did in his last job, so hopefully that will give me more time to fly and get my house in order.
I will work on a list at home later ( am at work at the mo tut tut) and post it up and hopefully get bits crossed off along the way.
I have emptied and loaded WM and DW this am.

Hi Newbie here I'd love to join you all but I know I won't be able to log on or post each day so I'll just have to lurk as and when. Well done Lynzpower for getting your flat ready for viewings I read all the posts!!! Would love a pm to see the finished results please. Can I also ask about this soda+tiles thingy? Also could anyone point me in the right direction for actually starting this flylady thingy which is to declutter first I think. I did sign up for flylady last year but like another poster got fed up with all the emails.0
