Likewise! I don't have my name either - it's neither Penny or Penelope :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That's my campaigning alter ego, and has stuck while I'm on here.

Hi, Carli! This thread is a self-help for those of us who need it. I'm here as I'm clean but not tidy, so need a kick from Moggins's size 9's from time to time to get me going. It's been very inspiring.

  • Big big thanks to you all for your support! I realise she's not just an airhead, but also wrong!!! Just because something is not perfect there's no reason not to clean it, or I'd never wash myself again!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I got the bathroom finished, another couple of kitchen cupboards tidied, vacuumed the livingroom, and up the stairs!! Put lots of ironing away, and tidied a couple of my drawers ( couldn't get the t-shirts away if I didn't:o :o )

All in all I'm really pleased with today!!

You'll never guess, while I was typing this the friend rang, and I let her know that she'd upset me. This is unknown behaviour for me, never done it before!! Anyway she has apologised and said she didn't mean to be hurtful, just it upsets her to see me working so hard on something that can never look perfect!!! Apparently I'm too obliging and let people take advantage all the time, and I should be more selfish and put myself first. I must learn to say no when things aren't convenient to me. Then she says, you will be able to run me to Dartford on Saturday morning won't you as I won't have my car. I took a deep breath, opened my mouth and the virgin words "oh I'm sorry, I can't " came out!! I should add this is the first I've heard about it!! I think she was a bit taken aback, especially as I didn't say why, but actually it really isn't convenient, and I'd have to juggle several committments. A distinct chill then entered and she rang off very soon afterwards:confused: Not sure how I feel, I'm beginning to think it is a bit of a one-sided friendship. We'll see.

Anyway I've hijacked this thread enough, well done everyone, you seem to be flying well!!! It's amazing when you start just how much you can get done! Before moggins challenges, I'd never have realised you can get so much done in a 45 minute slot!! Off to make a coffee now, and think about tomorrows priorities!!

Yay Churchmouse! Glad you made it plain to her that it's NOT ok to be rude about your home and that it's NOT alright to take you for granted!

Moggins...don't worry, I can access the Job Centre on-line...I just got a bit annoyed that the 30 mile round trip was an unnecessary waste of time and petrol...they could so easily say on their website that NI applicants should contact the Job Centre rather than their stores.

WELL DONE Churchmouse (no longer a mouse I take it!) and THANKS Moggins for your support too. I've had a great day and feel MUCH better than I did last week, let's hope it stays like this for a few more days.

Tomorrow I will HAVE to get off my bot because all the floors are now covered in cat prints (due to a bad storm here tonight). At least I can eat cake with my coffee tomorrow!
