I've had my first flying disaster:eek:
Been so preoccupied with getting things on the list done that I forgot to take DS1 for his orthodentist appointment. Rang and apologized several times (I have never missed one before) they were ok but now I can only have an appointment during school hours which is not ideal but can't blame them even though I do wonder if it is some sort of punishment? Oh well need to add look at calendar to the morning routine - actually what have some of you got on your routine?
Mine is:
empty dishwasher
do pack lunch for DS1
put washing out
wash up from breakfast
take DS3 to school and minded children
swish round toilets and basins
shine my sink
LOOK ON CALENDAR!

Churchmouse, you don't need friends like that. I'll come round and admire your cooker, as long as I get some tea and HM something! We can't keep chucking things into landfill just because they're a bit shabby. What sort of planet will we leave for our children?

Penelope, what do you mean by 'oil floor' or is that a typo?
I think I might also make a list of things to do tomorrow - I sit here wondering what to do next sometimes (flylady digests don't help THAT much for me).0 -

Hi, Justin (or is that your OH, or your cat?).
I have quarry tiles (red and black, laid on the diagonal, like they might have been originally in my Victorian house). They need a special type of oiling from time to time, to seal them and keep the dirt out.
Was telling my family that listing things on here makes me do them. My DD asked why don't I just lie? I told her that you (esp Moggins and Snowy) would all know, and I'd be in detention, and have to sit up front with Edinburghlass. Where is she, btw?
Will post tomorrow, if there's time between w*** and choir.

Hi, Dusty, it's HG Satin Gloss Polish, made by HG international.
PM me, and I'll send you a photo! Haven't worked out how to do them on here yet!
I bought mine at the tile shop, but noticed they had it in the big hardware shop in York, last week.
The bottle says "dry in 3 hours, but allow 3 days to become fully waterproof".
On a different topic, there was talk yesterday about what to listen to while doing housework. I prefer talk radio, so have radio 4 on. I often tape a programme so I can listen to it at a more convenient time, and many of them are 15 mins long :T :T I currently have today's episode of Madame Bovary while I do my paperwork.

Ooooh please send me a photo too! My hall quarry tiles desperately need some of that
Sorry for not having my own name on here - I'm Jo, pleased to meet you, and best hubby in the world is Justin (it's HIM that put me onto MSE in the first place). If you want me to tell you all the cats names I'll have to start a whole new thread! There's only 18 of them, but people seem to think that's a lot.
I know what you mean about not being able to fib about what you're REALLY doing too - it's sort of 'motivating' to put it in writing somehow iykwim0
