    Churchmouse, you have pinched my energy! Give it back!

    LOL, I've still managed to do my hotspot, sort my mail, tidy the kitchen and half of the living room. I just have to sort out what to do with 3 hot water bottles until we need them, put DH's DVD collection away and sort some stuff to take down the charity shop. Then I can get on with the dining room.

    Sorry if I am being stupid: but what is flylady? someone mentioned a website? ? Am I being really thick?!

    Hi, I've only just sort of joined in on this as well, it all stems fromhere.

    http://www.flylady.net/

    I beleive it points you in a direction of a realistic plan for organising your home such as routines for cleaning, sorting out that cupboard you always meant to do, filing paperwork away etc.

    It starts you off with baby steps such as when you've washed up, dry the sink, it takes less than a minute to do, but means its gleeming show room finish rather than water marked finish :rotfl:

    Then if you do this everyday you soon realise that things don't take so long and its easier to fit things in.

    I've read on here that whatever you do don't sign up for the daily emails, flylady reckons it only takes two minutes to read, which is true, but when you receive emails everyday it dosn't quite work like that ;)

    Anyway, I dried off my sink last night and it did look nice this morning :T

    Hi Churchmouse - hope you're in full throttle around your house! I've been doing a little job searching; prospects here are pretty dire to be honest. I'm all down and sad now. Wish I could cry, just seem to bottle it most of the time (then release at current job if anybody says as much as boo to me...which isn't good).

    Have actually done a few things...washed and dressed to shoes, done all the dishes, and a bit of job hunting. It's a wet and miserable day at the moment so that curtails my blackberrying - they are all going to rot on the bushes at this rate. I will however definitely make the blackberry jelly today. A local shop has coffee on at £1.00 per 500g jar - I stocked up on that, decanted granules into a tupperware container, and put the jars in the DW to get them 100% clean. So, no excuses...

    Superdog, no you're not being in the least bit thick, gosh!! "Flylady" is a funny word, but Linda32 has explained it perfectly! You can do as much or as little of it as you want, it's entirely a personal decision. The main underlying theme (for me anyway) is to get the chaos under control and not let it go to pot again.

    Bye for now

    Don't worry Snowy, something will turn up especially with christmas coming up.

    I've now folded all the laundry and sorted it into piles ready to go into it's rightful rooms. Cleaned the cooker and put the hoover where I will fall over it if I try to go into the kitchen. The clean throw is staring at me from where I have thrown it onto the sofa so I will have to get and put it on properly in a minute.

  • Right, I'm joining in today :) So far I've:
    read emails and replied to them all;
    tidied spare room (craft room);
    put washing in machine ready for overnight wash (economy electric); cleared sink;
    showered and washed hair (sat here with water dripping down my back cos I refuse use the dryer);
    cleaned the bathroom thoroughly.
    I might do a little more later, but know I have to pace myself else I won't be able to keep on flying.

    Wish I could cheer up everyone who's feeling down today. You all do it for me some days, and I want to return the favour. BIG HUG & WELL DONE to you all. :grouphug: Jo
